It’s been said before, but it bears repeating: why the hell did HelloGames botch the build up and launch of this game so badly? There is clearly a market for this game, and it could have gotten such better press with proper marketing and feature implementation.

I wonder if any critic will be daring enough to take a more detached look at this game.

That bit about the FPS feels like it should be getting more notice.
