I thought there was an implicit rule about the Angels, that even if only the camera can see them, then they can't move. This was true in Blink and Manhattan (but dropped in Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone, in which the Angels might as well have been a completely different species anyway). We never see the Angels move

It made sense for Rory to jump - to attempt to cause a paradox. Amy was only jumping to either die with Rory or prevent him from jumping. So it makes sense that the Doctor would protest Amy's reckless decision more than Rory's selfless decision.
