Too avoid any overlap (all the lineups mentioned here are excellent), I’m going to go with 1993. It’s got a great mix of different types of movies (two period dramas, the best Holocaust drama ever made, and an excellent movie about fathers and sons), but mainly it’s because they nominated something as popular and

808s & Heartbreak dropped the week my girlfriend broke up with me, so yeah, I listened to that album almost exclusively in the aftermath.

The best/worst is the Rob Lowe-starring Drew Peterson: Untouchable.

Sample dialogue: “I’m untouchable, bitch.”

It’s also a rip-off of Hamlet, but y’know, not as explicit.

I’ve actually seen Penguin Prison, Walk Off the Earth and Thelma & the Sleaze in concert over the years. Penguin Prison is fun, Walk Off the Earth is fine and Thelma & the Sleaze is one of the worst bands I’ve ever heard.

Huzzah! Congrats, guys. This layout will take some getting used to, but the content is as good as always.

Can I copyright a feeling? Can you patent a jar of love?

Uh, yeah. This movie is dreadful. Even the musical performances feel as lazy as the rest of the film.

The most devastating betrayal to me was Britta-Shirley. I wanted them to explore that a little bit more, because that's a pairing that rarely gets used.
