Or use the oscillating reaction as a shutter in front of the glow stick liquid, which then doesn’t need alternating pulses of mineral oil, and only needs to be pumped so that newly mixed liquid can replace liquid that has stopped glowing...or the oscillating reaction could shutter a regular electric amber bulb (which…
That is indeed a black Trabant, with multi-colored polka dots.
I had to check my collection when I saw that photo. I, too, have that black and orange Isetta.

Or replace the headlights with more grills...for racing

I was going to make a half-serious comment about how great it is/was to have the ad-hoc interoperability of command line programs that each just do one thing well, and why can’t we modernize that sort of thing, but your “unplug” bullet point was better, so here’s a vaguely relevant XKCD comic:
Besides, which would you rather have: all the bones in your face, or that stupid sweet goddamn vintage Honda?
I thought DG Motorsports made the hard tops for the MX-5 Global Cup, and that they look like this:
It seems they’re mostly exploiting bugs in the physics engine and environment geometry. One of those is, as you said, rotating backwards to produce lift. Another seems to be hitting corners, edges, and other features in a way that makes them act as ramps.
I believe that particular hardtop, from Murakami Motors (and available through Rev9), has a significant helmet bubble. The DG Motorsports hard top (available direct or through Goodwin Racing) has less of a bubble, but might still improve headroom. If you ask on the miata.net forum, you might find someone near you who…
That’s basically my plan: I already bought the soft top version, and I’ve ordered a Blackbird Fabworx GT3 roll bar (which will require removing the soft top) and a DG Motorsports hard top.
When I was looking to buy a house I had similar issues finding something suitable. I ended up buying a plot of land on which to build a garage, with a house included.
I agree that they ruined the Yaris styling. On the subject of Toyota, what happened to the (US Market) Scion iQ?
The Litestar and Pulse kit cars had such a sliding canopy, and even have a lot of airplane-like styling.
