Wow! So many Microcars! I guess I should visit Oppo more, for articles like that. A similarly large collection of microcars and similarly sadly no longer around was Bruce Weiner's Microcar Museum. As far as I know, Lane's is now the biggest collection of microcars.

It sure was. I had wanted to go for a long time but might not have except for knowing that if I didn't then I couldn't ever. I took a vacation and a flight across the country just for that.

Unfortunately not all in one place anymore; most of them were auctioned off. Hopefully they'll be out and about to be seen, though.

That was a great museum. The one time I visited was for the auction—I got the lot of mostly Vespa posters, calendars and clocks.

The only downside to the cars driving is that sometimes Lane is out driving one, so you can't see it in the museum. Probably not a big deal for locals who can visit whenever, but I'm rarely anywhere near Nashville so I've only visited once.

And sometimes wrenches come in "SAE" (the same as "standard")—although the Society of Automotive Engineers (now SAE International) now uses metric.
