So Toyota finds out that their youth-focused coupe isn't badass enough to satisfy a younger audience so their solution is to give up?

Three things:

@jbh11126: If you look closely at some of the other photos, the front tires are much wider than a normal 1-series and they've rolled/trimmed the front fenders to fit them in and the tires are still sticking out. Any production version would have to have flared front fenders as well.

Crack pipe, but really it's what chevy should be making in quantity and selling for around $30k, instead of the overweight, overstyled Camaro.

@gearhead_318: Seriously, I'm not sure I've ever heard anyone say that what Hennessey's previous cars needed was "better rotation through a lower polar moment of inertia".

Good to see that even when falling, it tried to crash ass-first. Slightly taller crane and it might have succeeded.

... as if a million middle-managers cried out, and were suddenly silenced...

We need to coordinate our safety and emissions regs with the cheese-eating surrender-monkeys across the pond. @EMPM, Esq.: A thousand times yes. A 300hp I4 coming in under 3000lbs would be far more enticing than what's rumored here. But who knows, I'm a sucker for BMW fender flares, so they'll probably get me regardless.

@Electro_Boogie: It's cheaper than the base model with better wheels and suspension. What's not to like? This is what the STI should have been at launch.

@CJinSD: "Anti-Dazzling Regulations" sound like something the FCC came out with as a response to Adam Lambert.

@UglyDuckCar: Based on the above quote from the Beeb, it sounds like that would be ok so long as the lesbians are hot.

@KeyserSoze: As of MY '09 there still seem to be at least a handful of people with ringland and other issues:

Some of the greatest driving in a movie paradoxically combined some of the worst fake tire smoke special effects in the history of film. Seriously, the driving's good enough, they didn't need to fake the tire smoke.
