Fair nuff :) I guess I'm the one who got defensive about being a know-it-all haha.

In all seriousness, given how much he makes news for being non-stereotypically-Catholic and progressive and shit, it's almost surprising when we get some old-timey back-to-basics Bible-thumping from him.

Ooh, another fencing enthusiast. I'm a big fan of picket, how bout you?

All the modern Star Trek series are rated F for Frakes, Female, or FAAAAKE.

By the way, that's one of the most misquoted lines of all time, a mistake I've made many a time myself, and therefore my correction was meant in a "by the way, not that it actually matters" sense. If that helps you feel less defensive about it. I mean, usually a simple ":P" is enough to convey that tone, but I'm happy

Hey, I know something that happened 30 years ago, that's hardly "all"!

I'm sorry, any time someone claims that all human emotion is a battle between Fear and Love/Empathy/Impossibly Pure Pureness my mind goes straight to https://www.youtube.com/wat…

I too am super relieved haha.

Eh, FX has been pretty bitchin', kept The Americans trucking along despite never really pulling the audience it deserves, hopefully they'll keep the faith here too…

It's actually "No. I am your father." :P

What door?

Personally that made me feel so judged and oppressed that I've decided I'm never reading another AV Club article again.

I can't tell if this is satirical support of the OP, but I will assume it is…

I'm still having trouble believing World's Angriest Boy In the World wasn't a real thing. It feels like a twisted version of Maurice Sendak or Roald Dahl illustrated by Shel Silverstein…

I'm not stopping watching this until I see some body swapping sex.

I took it to be that the first swap was of exactly the same nature as the second: that is, that David's body switched places with Syd's while their minds remained physically in place, thus leaving them in control of the other's body. When it wore off, the process reversed: Minds remaining where they were, bodies

Could never live up to expectations, best left alone.

The first one was especially chaotic. I thought the last two weren't that far apart though. I definitely think if you go back and rewatch after the season is over you'll realize it's actually settled into a reasonably objective sequence of events.

is a phrase best avoided on this show :P

No, no, it's the mansion where all your exes live.
