She did have a crush on him from way back in the beginning, and her "I'm glad you're back" conversation seemed genuine. I don't think her mind would've gone to "who was that other girl I was jealous of" if she didn't have some real feelings. But those feelings are insanely complicated because they're intermingled with

Yeah there was a whole countertop corner in the way there. I would've chickened out and tried to sidle over a little more or get situated on the couch before going for it.

Paige obviously knows they are different, but how that difference needs to be interpreted is up in the air. She's giving her parents a hard time about it because her world has gotten very complicated very quickly and her parents haven't made it clear what responsibilities are expected of her outside of the pastor's

Previouslies are famous for being stealth spoilers, just sayin' :P

I sense "Great." is going to become our memetic cynical summary word for the rest of the series :)

I was really surprised Elizabeth didn't cast the mission with the fairly plausible phrasing "a piece of a weapon we might have to defend ourselves against", rather than "a piece of a weapon we might use in a counterattack"! I guess Elizabeth figured if she's being honest, go full-out honest…

I did not realize next week was the finale and you are all breaking my heart god dammit.

It is funny that even in this completely chance situation Elizabeth is always the hardass. Because I'm sure Philip would've killed that guy in a heartbeat too to defend his daughter. I almost wished Paige would've made some unfair comment casting her dad as the less heartless one so Philip could come in to Elizabeth's

I almost wondered if the bottle would come back up. "She's that rattled from two guys who ran away? She seemed fine after I cracked a bottle over the head of that pedophile who gave us beer two years ago!"

That shot in that sequence ("Games Without Frontiers") is one of my absolute favorite TV shots ever. To me it's The American's "Stay out of my territory" set to "DLZ". I already loved season 1, but that sequence in the finale ending with the shot of Paige made me realize this was "all time list".

And only one mission away from retirement, too!

He may be of an age where the body never fully recovers after a life-threatening illness like that. He seems fine for the most part, just slower and more easily tired out.

I'm not sure why you're asking if I'd had a trifle when my comment made it quite clear I hadn't even seen one before! The question was, why name a massive dessert after a word synonymous with "inessential, triviality, nothing" :)

Wowww, I was not trying to be so critical to produce an "I bet I type faster than you nyah!" war, christ. If you really can't live without an answer I'll just say I'm very secure about my typing speed.

Because the reviewer asked about the song. The problem is the Disqus system is terrible at displaying all these comments so people glance at the first page (which is sorted by "top comments" by default instead of chronologically like most people assume) and think "welp, nobody answered, guess I'd better do it".

Wait, Lizzy Caplan and TJ Miller were in that? My mind has SERIOUSLY rejected any memory of that movie.

See…you say that's strange and fully synonymous, but there are clearly people such as myself and Richard and, unbelievable as it may seem, Winnie herself, who have never immersed themselves in the communities that would cement this connotation.

I suppose I was responding partly to you but also to many of the other comments responding along the same lines, which made it seem like people were feeling very defensive about it. I'm trying to catch up with the reviews so I think I'll take you at your word and move on to the next week :)

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you mean by "touch typing", which I simply define as "typing without looking at the keyboard". To me this has little to do with the actual characters you choose to type (although touch typing is definitely easier when you're typing what you're used to).

Oh look, Dualla pining for Lee is shoehorned back in the last 5 minutes of this two-parter. Okay then.
