Coding typing is fairly different from regular typing, where you very rarely need multiple spaces. I actually just read another piece on this episode and apparently the showrunners liked it because it was "universal" since "everyone knows what a tab and a space are" compared to something like Emacs vs Vim. As soon as I saw this was going to be the central story of the episode, I could just picture the comments where all the non-programmers are talking about character and story and, you know, important things on the show, while all the programmers are like "YOU GUYS you have no idea how real this is."

I was kinda hoping that "Air Conditioner Repair School" would've been on the list of Gene's failed ventures (instead of vacuum cleaners).

As I've said way too many times now, I'm not suuuper strict on perfect-matching racial casting, but it does start to bug me when the actors don't even speak the primary language of their characters' mother :/

I think it's starting to become some sort of sick casting joke that they keep casting Korean Americans as the children of the only character who only speaks Chinese…

All I know is, Square One (and 3-2-1 Contact which I just found out was apparently all reruns by the time I was watching it) was my JAM around that time.

With scenes like that I'm always a little mad they cop out and cut away. I genuinely, seriously, literally want to see the entire hour of that dinner. What conversation can possibly be had after a start like that? I simply can't imagine it.

I laugh out loud so much at this show. The awkward tension it can pile on is just so beautiful.

Stan actually mentioned this week that Philip had met Gaad at a barbecue already, which came as a surprise to me. Wouldn't Elizabeth have been at such a barbecue too? Did the GRAND MEETING of Gaad and his ALMOST-MURDERER that I'd been waiting for already take place off-screen and nothing came of it?

This is almost literally what I'm assuming she'll have to do. There's no way they're not going after that guy.
