This was one scene where the book goes into a lot more detail of the psychology and political agenda of Hosty and the other officer. It's not really essential but I enjoyed it and this was definitely a clipped version. Either way though, there's no solid reason to believe Jake was in on the assassination attempt, and

a) I'm having trouble believing Lt. Broccoli posted this before you did.

Did anyone else get a tiny bit uncomfortable in the "big reveal" scene with Honey and Evan? I mean not in any serious way, I'm just saying with Honey turning on the Femme Fatale that hard it feels almost sex crime-y to put her in a scene alone (ish) with an 8 year old :P

Randall Park's wordless look at Emery after the scream jars explanation was priceless, but I was kinda hoping after we had a few moments to let it sink in, we'd get a smash cut to "sooo, your first therapy session with Dr. Wiseman will be on Tuesday…"

This is probably my favorite episode of the whole show. Which is ironic because I've been singing the praises of Grandma Huang and Pumpkinhead for the past month (WHERE WAS GRANDMA??). But at the very least, this is the first time in two seasons I have no complaints about ANYTHING - no painfully stiff acting, no

I have never loved Marvin more than that line. I mean, Ray Wise was great the whole episode, but after Honey sat through all the bitchiness from Deidre seeing Marvin smack her down that hard was. so. satisfying.

Did this set a record for amount of blurred nudity in this amount of time? And I thought the pilot of Don't Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23 was impressive…

You're being too hard on the girls and not nearly hard enough on the tent manufacturers. I don't consider it negligent to set up a tent somewhere as long as the tent is weighed down, which it was. Tents aren't supposed to come apart at the seems like that! It wasn't a hurricane!

You're the Worst became a different show with that storyline. I happened to be fine with that show too for the most part, but it was pretty jarring and I can't blame anyone who ditched it. Not exactly a smooth transition, and I would recommend a more even tone as a general rule.

Taco: A character from "The League" who has many theories/business ideas related to eskimo brothers.

"Sup, bitch?"

Luckily there is dialogue, so we don't need to run computer analysis on the pixelation: Blake thinks she's laughing at him for "something wrong" and she reassures him "there's a LOT right", so much so that she won't actually be able to have vaginal intercourse.

Exactly, the only problem with that joke. There's NO way she could be that good and not know it was Abby.

I still feel viscerally shocked at how this show can come up genius absurdity like the pizza assembly and great character-based jokes like Jessica making the boys live outside a safety barrier like Outbreak/Wrath of Khan…but then veer from that into a scene full of utterly stiff line readings from the kids in the

Trent. Hands down.

I started instinctively panicking once Jessica got it. THERE'S CARPETING EVERYWHERE AND SIX PEOPLE LIVING IN THE HOUSE! HOW CAN WE POSSIBLY KILL ALL THE BUGS!

The idea that middle schoolers play against the faculty was already silly, but the idea that the faculty would hold an assembly just to rub in their pizza victory (let's not forget what the game is about, after all) was beautiful.

The (far superior) comedy version of this show has Jake turning back to the asylum doctor and going "well now you're DEFINITELY not getting paid."

I tend not to blame the actors that much when their characters are written with a gross lack of depth. I mean sure we can say "oh he should've saved that scene" but the show is just connecting dots and cutting off loose ends at this point so it's hard for me to care.

The one thing I'm really enjoying about this that I didn't get from the books is a sense of Lee Harvey Oswald as a character. Even just getting a face to go with the character is a great start, but the performance is absolutely enjoyable. I don't care if it's historically accurate/his accent's off/whatever, he's fun
