SEASON 2 SPOILERS Eh, that's okay, it took even less time than that for the show to get done with Brad Garrett's character.

I hate to bring statistics into such human tragedy but at least the rate of police shootings is still low enough that individual cases make it into the news. According to http://www.theroot.com/arti… the police fatality rate for 15-19 year old black boys/men is 31 per million over 3 years. Which is terrible but you

Speaking of L&O, most of the lines were either dead serious or laugh-your-ass-off let's-take-a-break moments, but I like to think the "Law & Order consultant" line was a reference to his past work :)

This felt a bit like the West Wing episode "Isaac & Ishmael" which aired after 9/11. It did not take place in series continuity, it is not a good West Wing episode. (This episode is MUCH closer to being a good Black-ish episode than that.) I suppose it's what you might call "Very Special Episode", but I don't really

I hate to downerize such a laudable episode but I thought Yara kinda reminded us that she's the weakest link in the ensemble tonight, I didn't really buy her "mini-breakdown". It was fine, but it didn't hold a candle to AA's Obama inauguration speech.

You had trouble with comments about this show online? I'M comments about this show online!

Yup. If you told me two years ago Anthony Anderson would make me cry in a sitcom monologue… Of course it helped to be looking at the footage and remembering feeling the exact same fear. But no question one of his best acting moments, period.

Damn, I was hoping this headline meant "PG Porn" quality, not actual porn-without-porn.

I assume by "super intelligence of some sort afterward" you mean the 3D chess move. I choose to believe he was just trolling them and made a completely random move in a misguided attempt to show off to Troi. What kind of genius doesn't recognize that it's rude as shit to barge into someone else's game, anyway?

Both episode pretty meh. Fashion It So has me covered for my first Stray: Geordi is drinking a most violently red colored drink out of some sort of vial. Possibly, juice with a ton of red 40. Damn, I could really go for some juice. Anyway.

was there really no google/episode lists 5 years ago?

You are correct, nobody was reading this THREE years later :P

It was very weird to hear Riker refer to Risa as this virtually unknown little hideaway resort he knew about, whereas in DS9 it's basically The Federation Pleasure Planet. Like if someone told you "for vacation, you should go to these islands I know, they're called The Bahamas".

My only complaint about Vash here is a couple times she went over the line from "flirty" (which was generally delightful) to "cutesy", which is just irritating. I'm honestly not sure how much I'd say she and Stewart had chemistry, but I definitely enjoyed their scenes together overall.

Annie can't be Tasha Yar! Can we make Pierce Tasha Yar? He did get killed off the earliest…

Since you mentioned Kirk vs Picard: According to Memory Alpha, this episode arose when Patrick Stewart lobbied for a storyline with more "sex and shooting" for himself :)

In defense of Star Trek fashion, 17th century humans would think our fashion is bonkers, so USE SOME IMAGINATION and admit we have no goddamn idea what people'll be wearing. I admire that Trek just doesn't give a fuck with its future clothes half the time :P

Heh, while I liked the sitcom beginning, I think the idea that the whole crew was in on it would've been a BIT too much of a sitcommy ending.

I think by "episode 1" you really mean "season 2, episode 1" - in the pilot and I believe a couple other episodes in season 1, he was portrayed in a very typical overbearing Ferengi way, he didn't even have his "bumbling oaf" status nailed down yet. They pretty much retconned him when they realized they wanted
