Honestly I hope he sues. It’s 2019 goddammit, and my rights are being violated. Specifically my God given right as an American to have seen a court filing that included “The Lamestream Media” as a defendant.

This attitude is an only slightly less obnoxious corollary of the most obnoxious attitude among artists there can be, which is “I don’t care about my critics / here is a point by point response to everything my critics have said about me”.  If he really didn’t care, would he be excited?  Fuck no.  

The fact that these little assholes had spent their day marching to restrict the civil rights of their fellow American citizens is also a pretty large factor in my lack of worry about their behaviors being possibly initially aggrandized.

The problem with making an absolutist statement is that degrees don’t matter. 

The problem is that the bulk of those starving masses probably can’t get out in the streets to pick up said pitchforks and torches.  The vast majority of SNAP recipients are children, old people and the disabled.

Here’s the problem. While I’m not terrible at this sort of thing, I’m sure I would need some practice to get it right, and invariably there would be a mess.

I’m not dying on any hill. Routinely in these comments, people will say things like “Capital gains should be taxed the same as ordinary income” and I’d bet you dollars to donuts most people here think she’s talking about the same thing. 

I agree that the capital gains rate should increase.  But casually tossing out a rate of 60% and asserting that our economy has decades of history proving that this level doesn’t have unintended negative consequences is simply incorrect.  It’s a mistake I can forgive in a rando commenter on the internet, but not so…
