Am I the only person who’s legitimately 30-70% less likely to watch this for the simple reason that Miles Teller is in it in a major role? It’s fine if it’s just me.

Mind blown

I thought it looked like he’d just stepped out of a 70s/80s detective show.

Wow, that’s amazing.

love how they made a subtle nod to Kim’s dilemma when she checked the time when she was restless early in the episode. It was 3:17 but there’s a small reflection that reads “LIE”. I swear, they never miss an opportunity to add in some nuance

Sure starting to look like we’re setting up to do it all again too, doesn’t it?

Not just that but a member of the establishment of the very country the US broke free from for  supposed reasons of restrictions of their civil rights.

Alito’s stance on abortion seems rooted in the idea that, functionally, that women just don’t really have any bodily autonomy at all in some circumstances.

If only there was an election in 2016 that could have made Alito a semi-amusing crank in a 6-3 minority... I remember hearing something about that election, where both candidates were the same and the Supreme Court didn’t matter.

Funny how all the women telling me that in 2016 were already post-menopause.

Great point and important observation. It goes to show, that to the extent that abortion was not historically viewed as a “fundamental” right, it is because historically it was men who got to decide what was “fundamental,” and those men who decided women’s right to bodily autonomy didn’t include abortion also thought

I felt like Mike’s “You’re made of sterner stuff” was foreshadowing, I just can’t decide what it was foreshadowing.

Jimmy has a point. Who does move a cone?

Craig Ferguson was the best host of any later late night show and pretty much nobody could do the kind of thing he did.

we knew it was going to happen and it still hurt. i have an extra soft spot for michael mando because of orphan black. i think it was the better way to go rather than dying from cancer from doing a sensory deprivation session in black oil.

didn’t even realize it was supposed to be a plot twist.. i just thought “ah, they are doing a legion/buffy/harry potter thing where this is the afterlife, false memory, illusion.. k carry on”

I’ll follow along here for the season. But folks, if Donna Bowman’s writing on BB/BCS meant anything to you over the years- as it very much does to me- I’d encourage you to check out her new home for tonight’s episode and the rest of season 6 to come. You might recognize someone else there too.

It may be finely observed, but IMO it’s not funny, and there’s a difference. Sketch humor should parody, or exaggerate, or innovate. Just throwing together a bunch of TikTok clips that are barely even any different from the actual platform (which is a mix of some real innovative content/humor, and a lot of nonsense

The guy who does the Trump impression is great but I really don’t want it to be a recurring bit. I do not want to be reminded of Trump on a weekly basis. It’s a good impression but the joke is just about his voice and the world salad that constantly spews out of his mouth. There’s not a whiff of the malevolence, narci

It really is weird they had so many really dated references in one episode.

That trial of the gods scene was so damn stupid and ultimately unnecessary that I still keep cracking up about it.
