Also, giving him another chance to repeatedly shout “Bone!”

Braugher’s been cruelly robbed of an Emmy (and every other possible award) for seven years running and I don’t expect that to change, but man he is really going out on top, isn’t he.
Holt’s faux seduction alone was enough to give Renewal an A. Just brilliant by Andre.
I need a special episode devoted entirely to Cheryl and Pam being English “ladies”.
Malory was stellar this week. The episodes where she takes the lead are some of the best, and her individual one-liners are often the best as well. Ending with the “still got it” brought back very fond memories of a long-dead Italian politician and Lo Scandalo, one of my favorite episodes. If this is the last episode…
They really were just henching as a side gig.
I love how desolate the school feels during the summer, which I’m sure is due to shooting during COVID times, but actually works on both a practical level and driving home the isolation the characters feel. Also it seems like it helps the show to focus more on the core cast & their relationships
What? It’s an Apple.
This was probably my favorite episode of the season; it was masterful. “House of Secrets” was a wonderful easter egg, and I hope it portends the introduction of characters from that title. The Grundy nod was delightful, and I eagerly await his return this season. I’m really enjoying where we’re headed, and this might…
Also, I’d give you a star, but Kinja won’t let me do that either. THANKS, KINJA!
I get why they made Sportsmaster and Tigress regulars for next season. That scene with them, Pat and Barbara was a damn delight.
Nine Drink Amy is indeed a genius. God I loved those scenes. Especially the British accent.
I think this show captures perfectly the paranoia of our times, people are either in denial or complete lack of understanding the true issues and well... they think and act all kind of crazy.
Each to their own, but I found the season, and especially the frantic all-over-the-place finale, brilliant - maybe the best they’ve done (though maybe not the initial Diane/Kurt storyline). I was hesitant about Wackner’s court but found it actually a highlight and a good vessel for the stories (if metaphorical) they…
Rick is impressing me this season with his empathy for Grundy and Beth, though in at least one of those cases it is probably going to blow back on him in an unfortunate way
I can’t believe I haven’t seen anyone say this yet, but they’re definitely teasing us that Chuck(the real human Chuck) is still alive, right? That’s who’s been speaking to Beth through the goggles. He’s inside the Shade’s shadows somehow, and that’s why the goggles started talking again after Shade arrived in town.…
oh my Rao, was naming the trash-collecting robot Oscar foreshadowing the turn to the trash side?
I thought this was excellent. The pancake scene was delightful, with great delivery by both girls. Really like the way they’re introducing the new players quickly. And, of course, the Grundy hints are wonderful and I want more Grundy.
You’re the best LaFergs. I’ll miss your writing here, but I’m very glad that you have better things to move onto. Happy Trails!
