Dave Filoni continues to show how much he’s on the same page as the fans after all his years of Star Wars experience. Just like in The Mandalorian, you had to figure there’d be an episode where the Batch tries to give Omega a normal life, but somehow she ends up sticking with them. So just like the reveal that she’s a

Tom Kane suffered a stroke at the end of last year. He may have to retire from voice acting as a result. That’s the last I have heard about it. I was happy to hear him on the premiere, but I don’t know when it was recorded.

Just saw on instagram today that he had never played baseball before but because he assumed if Brainy played baseball he’d be really good at it so he just learned and practiced in two weeks - and none of it was in the script!

I am looking forward to rewatching this episode, there is so much that I enjoyed in it.

Izabela Vidovic is so good as young Kara. She previously played Charlotte on The 100, the youngest and most tragic of the 100, and Isobel on iZombie, who had a fatal disease. Then in her first episode on Supergirl, her only friend was murdered. It is nice for her to have Kenny back and hopefully having nothing else

The production team really lucked out in finding actors for Young Kara and Young Alex who are both very talented and just uncanny. You could have a spinoff with Teen Kara solving mysteries. That sleepover scene was just too damn cute.

This episode was so delightful, I think I’m freaking out a little. Jesse Rath’s best episode in ages. If you were to rank Brainy Episodes, this one is easily in the top three. Likewise Nicole Maines. The flashback crew upped their game too, reaffirming how perfectly well cast they were in the first place.

As much as I disliked this finale I’m glad they didn’t do that ridiculous future version of everyone like on Weeds.

I am so grateful that the AV Club and Myles in particular continued to cover Shameless all the way until the end. He was able to put into words issues I had with the episodes or give a different perspective that I hadn’t noticed. I actually stopped watching Shameless after S5 and this reviews caught me up on things

I’m going to miss your reviews of Shameless more than the show itseft.

Nothing to add really, but thanks! As a Shameless fan from day one, I've enjoyed your and your predecessor's reviews, and the group discussions.

Honestly, I don’t think they could’ve killed him off in a worse way than they did. I thought to kill him from COVID, to use a disease that has killed a half million people, as a plot point, felt crass and calculated, and opportunistic beyond all measure. It felt like one last ditch effort to justify the the expense

Early seasons Lip would have made a killing off of Gamestop and then blown it all on something stupid/tragic.

To carry your GOT thread forward a little further, that’s also a situation where I do think the writers had to struggle with backing into a pre-conceived ending. I presume that they always knew what the final fate of the main players was going to be (and yes, I think the ending generally probably conforms to where

It’s 2021. Could they really not clip together and CGI a Fiona appearance? Even a brief one? Even a sort of hallucination/ghost interacting with Frank? Yes, Covid may be a genuine reason it couldn’t happen, but having Covid exist in world, you could have even just had Emmy Rossum do a Zoom call.

You know at the end of “Rosebud” when Homer asks if the ending is sad or happy and Marge replies, “It’s an ending. That’s enough!” This wasn’t even an ending (with the exception of one character). There are some infamous controversial series finales Dexter, Game of Thrones, Roseanne, etc. but at least those felt like

I’d be interested in knowing some of the details for sure. I think that Shameless was particularly bad at coming up with onscreen solutions to behind-the-scenes problems (Noel’s film obligations, Emmy’s departure) and I know that a lot of us would like to know the decisions that went into abandoning Lip’s college arc.

You’re finally free Myles of this show Myles! This last season was quite bad. It probably should have ended three seasons ago.

That final shot of Walker with the bloody shield was *money.*

Have you seen any Letterkenny? Scrofano doesn’t show up in that many episodes but she’s a hoot when she does.
