Whaaat? No weekly reviews? I’ve been following the AV Club’s weekly covering of The Good Wife/Fight for so long now... this feels like the end of an era...

I think it’s supposed to be the lying that really bothers Maze. She’s new to navigating friendships (other than Lucifer, who you know is going to be self-centered and unintentionally hurt you), and she’s surprised by these feelings herself, doesn’t know how to handle them.

I could understand awkwardness. Like, “Oh, we are pogo sisters now”. But that kind of thing is usually played for comedy, because it’s ultimately silly. Not to mention, Maze is a freaking demon portrayed as not caring much for human ethics. How is she suddenly so uptight that Linda getting her sloppy seconds is a huge

Yeah, I find the whole Maze/Linda thing befuddling, in that it’s not played like Maze is a demon and has selfish demonic urges to control people around her; it’s played like it’s legit for someone who had what basically amounted to a bored one-night-stand with a guy to feel betrayed when her friend starts a serious,

Bless you for these reviews. Lucifer is fun. That’s it’s raison d’être. Even when it’s annoying...it’s fun, and I can forgive it its faults.

I didn’t love this episode and would’ve given it a B minus, but your description of it (and excitement for it) has made me appreciate it more.

I think why UnREAL has struggled after the first season is that its creators don’t fully realize just what their show is about. They want it to be some kind of arch commentary on our socio-political climate, and try to hit the big bullet points: Mental illness! #Blacklivesmatter!

Season one was electrifying, mostly due to Appleby and Zimmer but also because the story actually built to something. Season two was a freaking mess. Zimmer was still fun to watch but Appleby seemed lost in the totally horrible, inconsistent writing for Rachel and I can’t say I blame her. I’m still not sure how well

iZombie fans are so badass they can even survive the kinjapocalypse .

This week in Ravi is the Best

Jake Weber’s extreme right-wing talk show host——I just cant figure out whether he’s playing it brilliantly, or whether its the worst acting in the history of mankind. And thus goes Homeland. I still love that viewer comment from seasons ago: “The most Homelandyish Homeland ever.”

That ransomware nonsense really makes me question why I still watch this show.

I mean, the network has shown a *lot* of faith in the show. Cancelling it after three seasons when they’ve planned for four seems super unlikely to me.

A Black Widow film would be so great. I think that Scarlett truly owns that role and she’d do such a good job in a solo movie. Damn you Marvel. Give us the movie already!

Wonderful news! I hope both Ajit Pai and Sinclair are damaged as much as possible during this investigation. I’d like to see Sinclair get dissolved into teeny tiny little pieces, and I wouldn’t mind seeing Ajit Pai get that coffee mug shoved up his ass by his cellmate.

It’s because of Kinja.

I couldn’t have said it better. And BTW like most of Burnham’s plans, this one fails spectacularly, since the Klingons and Federation are at war a few years later (well before TOS takes place)!

It’s not even pointing in the same direction!

Its just so infuriating that the cheap fanservice works for SO MANY people.

This episode had a whiff of mid-series X-Files, where Scully had no reason to still be vehemently doubting Mulder except for the fact that the plot necessitated it. Why are the people in Carrie’s personal life acting like she hasn’t ended up being right most of the time? I have to assume that Carrie has told Maggie at
