Natalie Portman gangster-rapping will never get old for me. Ever. But I was still holding out some hope Vanessa Bayer would come back for one more Totinos spot this year. The lack of her not feeding her hungry guys was definitely felt.

So that was a spectacular fuck-up in the cold-open, huh? It was bad enough when the camera was swinging wildly to try and center Strong’s Hope Hicks on the green screen, but then when he swung it around and looked right into the lense, the camera slightly tilted and the image absolutely out of focus? EEEK. Someone is…
So, Tahani’s line about Eleanor helping her got me thinking how each character helps another character in a very specific way.
The most obvious is Chidi helping Eleanor, by giving her what she never had: Someone who believed in her. That’s been the focus of the series. That said, Jason’s impulsive nature serves as an…
It was pointed out on Reddit etc. already, but:
“Did you just admit to snorting evidence?”
I hate myself for loving this kind of blatant fan service so much, but this episode hit all the right notes for me. I even loved the Kryptonite moment.
Corridor fight scene - Lucifer knows that every it show has to have it.
There were a lot of choice moments in the Lucifer/Cain pairing, but the build up and delivery of “Fine, got get the chainsaw” at the end of the episode was perfect.
To follow up a bit, here’s the official timeline:
I was also fully expecting Discovery to end up in the past, partly because Stamets has every reason to go back to a world where Hugh is still alive, and partly because that would let the show “bring back” all the characters it’s killed. In fact, I was sure this was what was going to happen when we saw mirror Landry,…
“You guys do too many song monologues, you know that?”
That New Yorker joke hit way too close to home.
Those were really were old scenes, but Reggie was not actually in any of them, and the jokes being terrible was a large part of what made them hilarious, I thought. (Also the fact that Reggie apparently shot Eddie Van Blundt, aka Darin Morgan.)
Probably General Electric. They have their hands in everything.
While watching the “leather-furry-bug-alien sex part,” Mrs Lizardo asked “what the fuck is going on?” then the giant teletubby thingies showed up and she said “Oh, that explains it.”
I LOVED this episode!
I can’t say I ever expected to see him genital-less and preparing to enter Chris Meloni while “Mars - The Bringer Of War” blares in the background, but wow is Patrick Fischler great in this.
Did anyone pick up when they were in the parking garage, Reggie was explaining to Mulder and Scully about how it’s monetized and corporations pay a lot for Dr. They’s technology/technique, he is about to drop a name. It sounds/seems like G.E. or similar, the video actually jumps/chops or something to give the…
“Some people fervently remember seeing a movie called Shazam, with Sinbad playing an irrepressible genie. They’re probably thinking of a movie called Kazaam, with Shaquille O’Neal playing an irrepressible genie.”
I would’ve been perfectly okay with them using this as the series finale.
