Michigan Highway Patrol officers stumbled onto a local rust mine. Local news outlets and the department reports that a two-month-long investigation led authorities to a home where $2.30 worth of rusted Jeeps (35 in total) were stored.

My sister sent me a link to this video a few days ago, the article explained that the lady “soiled” the back seat by shitting all over it, causing over $1,200 in damage to the vehicle.

Any current model year Mazda that isn’t the Miata.

... AND the tax evation.

As noted by Buckus, the US doesn’t have any pedestrian crash safety requirements... and GM isn’t exactly selling many of these in Europe. The front end of the new Escalade is so tall that you probably aren’t going to end up on the hood if one hits you:

As a washington resident with an idaho registered pickup, I can confirm. I leave it with my parents for a few months out of the year to maintain some semblance of legality (and because their newest car was built in 1990).

Please upgrade to Cat 6 for higher speed.

Topical science burn!

How do you know there is no fuckery going on? Nobody knew there was in 2008 either until it all blew up.

Ignorance is a hell of a drug.

That sounds like a whole lot of people having a bad day and no patience turned into a whole lot of people having a bad month.

Ahh, the 90s. The good old days when Pontiacs were ribbed for nobody’s pleasure.

How about look up a few values first.

I think the sticker price was 35-40k, so asking this much is a lot, but seems to be relatively in line with prices of other RSes for sale. The miles and crappy mods nudge it into ND territory for me, but someone will pay that much.

Oddly enough, as a regular person with a regular job, I pay quite a bit of my income in taxes, percentage-wise. Somewhere to the tune of nearly 30%, between federal and state (not including sales, etc.).

I’m not sure if this is a new, or state, or company specific. I never left anyone on the side of the road. We even had extra cab trucks to respond to minivan full of people. I always carried extra bottle of water for “passengers” and even a small bag full of cheap plush toys for the smaller kids.

Ugh thank you.

I work very closely to the part of the car selling industry interested in getting vehicles registered. This is a MASSIVE problem and change coming down the pipeline. With Carvana (and other startups like them.) you’re seeing the Uber or Amazon business model being applied to car dealerships, where new comers who
