There is a huge segment of the population (me included) in older cities and exurbs in this country who park on the street. They don’t have designated spots. I still have not seen one meaningful idea how this issue gets tackled.

Unique situations like this often result in hang ups. The person on the other end realizes it’s a cluster and just don’t want to deal so they are “accidentally” disconnected. Hell, if I was the customer service rep I would love to take this call because at least it’s different from all the other crap I would deal with…
Steve can I assume that you were in the 6 mile long traffic jam starting at about the 380 merge eastbound to the NJ border? All for some pothole work in two bridges. Brutal. Hit it coming home from Watkins Glen and the only thing that kept me from wanting to bomb a PennDot depot was that the entire jam was downhill so…
I came for the comment about the different state photos and the caption underneath. I enjoyed those. Slideshows suck but funny to see the writer’s comments on the different states.
The cops cruise at 75mph?! Here in Jersey they will come up on your ass doing 95-100 in their Interceptor Tahoe. I shudder to think of what the gas mileage is of the State Police here as those bricks spends miles on end at 95mph.
This would be in the ballpark if it was manual. To get a 500hp manual turbo you are looking at 997 which are $150k on average. This is no 997 of course, but it would pique my interest a lot more with a proper gearbox. Being 996 it’s not even PDK but the old Tiptronic.
Listen to this guy- username checks out.
You are getting blown up for that last comment- I think a slight sarcasm label would have been good as I am pretty sure you are aware Dart=FWD and Ghibli=RWD as everyone is helpfully pointing out. But I laughed.
What you eliminate in suspension twist with coil overs and sways you probably gained back with body frame twist.
Should have read your comment before responding above but you are spot on. We need advancement in $40k commuter EV cars and CUVs, not this.
But this has to stop for widespread EV adoption. There is a limit as to how much heavy metals etc we have on this planet to manufacture batteries. Let’s at least acknowledge that this car’s battery pack could power 3 other commuter cars and still be powerful enough to have a 5 second 0-60. Same with the Hummer etc. It…
On the day the guy filmed, Balbo was closed off. Since the intersection is a T shape, and the light turned red, those northbound cars just said fuck it and went through the red since there was no car traffic turning onto LSD. That is why so many blew through. If traffic was actually coming onto LSD they would have to…
Won’t answer my own car (GT4) bit will go with the Radical SR3. Drove one for a dozen laps on vacation in NZ and god did I want that thing for a weekend to shake out and get faster. So much fun.
ES is Camry FWD chassis. GS is RWD and is a stretched chassis-mate of the smaller IS. Pretty sure the last one was Lexus only- no Toyota version in JDM.
If the current assholes at SCOTUS have their way, the EPA won’t be able be regulate the air under the Clean Air Act or the water under the Clean Water Act because Congress didn’t give them a thousand point list of all the things to do under said Acts to fulfill the mission of the law as written. Fuck SCOTUS.
Drove an 86 Cutlass two door in college In mid 90s. It was a horrible goldish beige. I hit a deer on campus and part of the Oldsmobile badging came off. The only part left was “bile” which summed up the car nicely.
I have done this as well, including buying my most recent car from a dealer in MN (I am nyc area). It has never been an issue until today. I just dropped my Range Rover for service at a dealer in Manhattan because the other north jersey ones would not either provide a loaner (because I didn’t buy there) or provide…
911 all day. They are comfortable, have room, can be had with the best auto gearbox on the market (if that’s your thing- for this guy to feel refreshed after long drives not having a clutch is…clutch. I’ll see myself out).
Sir this is a Wendy’s.
Didn’t scroll far enough to see this comment before posting similar thought (which deserves more stars). HUGE difference. Hell you can sell more units and make less money (think Stellantis unloading some of their older stuff onto fleet buyers).
