Because my 3000 pound sports car with track pads can stop in about 130 feet from 70mph while idiot in the 6000 pound Tahoe 10 feet off my bumper will take about 50-60 feet more than that. That’s why you don’t tailgate. Because the vast majority of accidents are rear enders where someone was too close and/or not paying

Mic drop.

Because these systems are and danger and menace to the other drivers on the road who don’t get a choice as to whether to engage “Full (of shit) Self Driving Mode”. Because I could have been in that car in the incoming lane that genius boy Elon’s FSD mode said to turn right into oncoming traffic to avoid a stopped car

I was in Audis for the last 15 years and I honestly don’t know how it would decide. Got a Range Rover this summer and it doesn’t recognize and change seats (that I know 0f). I haven’t read the manual to do anything other than figure out how to turn on convenience lights when exiting the vehicle.

One car family here. Motorized seats allow for memory settings. Eliminates a huge annoyance.

Came to say the same. I had an old Wrangler that would stall as I depressed the clutch mid-turn. Lots of fun. That carburetor would never stay properly tuned

Skip shift simply encouraged people to be more aggressive in 1st gear so that they wouldn’t have to shift to 4th.

Way to stand up and take internet slings and arrows with humor! Tho you are slightly cuckoo still LOL

Found the guy that ruined the 100% ND vote!

This thing is so old I remember renting one (same color) when I went to Disney world as a child. I am 46 freaking years old. And there is zero sentimentality associated with a K car minivan.

You don’t want to go down the rabbit hole of horrible stories of shipping companies abandoning  their crews, who end up stuck on their ships sitting in a harbor for potentially years. Really sad. See my above post about effed up maritime law

No idea about maritime law. That said, if a ship wants to do on it the US, it should have follow US minimum employment mandates, environmental mandates, etc. We are not saying what every cruise ship has to do, just what they have to do if they want to enter US waters. I am sure there is something in maritime law that

Florida Woman!

Yep- you would have to be 8-9 feet tall to end up on the hood of this or any full size SUV or pick up these days. I would love to see under the hood of one of these GM pick up or SUVs. There must be tons of room to work in the engine compartment which is now the size of a Manhattan studio apartment.

The worst part of the look is from the rear. The vehicle is so damn tall and then the new IRS sits what appears to be 4 inches off the ground. You can see most of the rear suspension. It’s terrible.

North Dakota is a whole other ballgame. People create shell corporations to own and register the car in North Dakota. I would not be surprised if they are also tied to businesses that the car owner also owns for even more/better tax treatment.

F355 is peak Ferrari design and performance (with the gated shifter). This was working its way up to that.

Doesn’t matter. The engine is still sitting behind this.

I am not sure where you are from, but I lost a $100 bet to one of my best buddies who before Trump was even the official GQP nominee said he would win. Friend grew up in Babylon Village (a nice suburb on the Great South Bay and I live in NYC area of NJ). I lost the bet.

It’s a 2008- so exactly like the 2022. Why not?’
