People whining about the time limit is why it’s gone :/
It’s central to the mission structure and the story. Every event in the game is tied to the 72 hour clock.
I would say Dead Rising is a callback to old games that required multiple playthroughs before you mastered it.
honestly if you give them stuff it sometimes feels less like a escort and more like having a second pair of killing hands iirc.
I agree, dead rising 3 and seems 4 removed a lot of the elements that i used to love about the first two games.
A gameplay balance issue vs a core mechanic that is central to the game and everything is structured around it... those aren’t even close to comparable.
Natalia in Goleneye set such a bad example for the future of escort missions. She would actively seek out gunfire lol
The funny juxtaposition of this article is at the end in the “Recommended Articles” with Fahey’s “Dead Rising 2's Sandbox Mode is All I Ever Wanted” from 2011
The whole point of dead rising is zombie sandbox fun, and having to run across a damn mall to meet a deadline is antithetical to that
Well for the sake of the series i hope you and everyone else who was put off by those things buys the game and all the DLC cause the longtime fans who have been supporting the series for the last decade aren’t happy.
And here I thought that Dead Rising 3 was already too easy with the ability to use a car, bring survivors with you to dull out justice, and psychopaths being accessible in any order you wanted to play them. This just sounds depressingly easy.
I can see why some people are down with this choice. It gives you time to goof off, which sometimes felt at odds with what earlier titles wanted.
