Tesla is NOT a luxury brand. Just because some of their vehicles are luxury prices does not mean they are a luxury brand. The fit and finish, inside and out, are not luxury.

Also, I wouldn’t call Infiniti luxury anymore...it has been 2-3 years since I have been in a new Inifiniti but I remember my dad’s 1994 Q45

Agreed. Anyone considering buying a new A3 or BMW 2 series should do themselves a favor and at least drive a Mazda 3 first. They may find out that they can save themselves a chunk of change while still ending up with a very nice ride.

My GF’s Mazda 3 was MUCH nicer in every way than the loaner A3 the dealership gave me when my A6 was in for warranty work.

Ask someone who has ridden a bicycle over 10,000 miles on the street, and you’ll get nearly all different answers. Mainly because we get to avoid the real idiots to save our well-being/lives on a regular basis.

The Golf R doesn’t belong in this douch bag car cavalcade. Most owners are respectful and knowledgeable of the vehicle, its capabilities and it’s fun.

A) They aren’t $50k+ forever

These are not personal thoughts of the writer. They are answers to question of the day. The GTI/R suggestion came from a reader and other readers starred/agreed with the comment.

They were literally the Austrian answer to a Land Rover Defender. But with far better build quality and three locking diffs. I have driven a couple of them in both short and long wheelbase versions. Can’t say I agree with your assessment of the visibility - compared to anything modern they might as well have nothing

It’s pretty much the epitome of “fuck-you” car. Don’t care what kind of mileage it gets or how much space it takes up, and may as well have the price tag painted on the door.  Still like them though.

The full squat basically points the driver towards the sky.  Glad that seems to be legally going the way of the whistle pipe.

Yeah but I feel like most Corollas now come straight from the factory with unrepaired body damage, peeling DIY tinting and multiple layers of duct tape residue on the trunk from repeated applications of temporary dealer tags. Oh, and weed stink.

I think a distinction needs to be made between drivers of modern, completely naff douchecanoe monster motor and rubber-band-tire G-wagens and drivers of ancient ones powered by the same motor as a 240D with plaid seats and a four speed stick. TOTALLY different crowds. The former I just have no time for at all, the

Late to the party, but performance versions of big truck and SUVs. You end up with worse gas mileage, higher maintenance and and a muted “performance” driving experience because your car is so far off the ground. I made a similar comment about today’s NPOND AMG Mercedes SUV. If you have ever taken off in a commercial

I’m sure most are - but then those would be the idiot drivers, wouldn’t they? I’m reporting - anecdotally - that the ones I see are being driven by people who seem to have actually paid attention in driver’s ed. And that’s what’s confusing me. Florida outliers. ha!

As a certified idiot I can confirm the Charger and Tesla deserves spots on the list as I have been an owner of both.

I have no problem with the cars, but my (East Coast) neighbor three houses down has two AMG G-Wagons. They routinely do 40mph down our narrow, no shoulder, 25mph residential street. That irritates me.

Range Rover Sport. THIS. Last week minding my own business an asshat driving one passed a car behind me and was coming up fast on my tail. We get to the top of a very steep hill and of course he wanted help me over the top. Tailgating me down, I just let my hybrid regen brake at 35 mph down as I always do. Of course,

Cosigning on Lexus drivers* - they’re not so much fancy Altima drivers as fancy Toyota drivers, so all the same bad behaviours as the Corolla drivers above (or the Subaru Forester drivers also above), just oblivious, but they’re probably convinced they’re great drivers because they don’t speed.

Definitely not here in Northern Virginia. Anyone in a white Tesla is someone to be avoided. Driving my son to school is a minefield of illegal left turns, failure to yields, red-light running, etc.

I have been all ready to hate on Tesla drivers, but the owners near me seem to be some of the most rules of the road abiding drivers... But I’m in Fla, so maybe they’re just looking good by comparison to all the pickmeupsw/trucknutz.
