That literally only applies to their laptops and other high powered devices. 20w charging that iPhones support can literally be done with any old fucking usb C cable safely...
Can’t say I ever had an issue with keeping my Android phone topped off using USB-A to -C cables and Android Auto.
Don’t buy an A-platform Jetta. But do buy an A-Platform A3? Is there such a lack of options in the small luxury segment that A3 is the recommendation?
“I couldn’t find any USB-C to USB-A cables”
“I couldn’t find any USB-C to USB-A cables”
USB-C to A cables are some of the most common given it’s the default configuration for a lot of Android devices.
Seem weird you had no USB-C to USB-A cables. What do you use on the plane when you fly. How about a hotel. I have box full if you want one. Stop blubbering.
I guess what I’m trying to say is I certainly don’t disagree it’s a performance vehicle, rather that it wasn’t any worse than you would logically expect it to be on the track.
I’m not debating it was modified to handle well for a truck, I’m just saying I don’t think there were many people who looked at this and thought “oh yeah, this is what I need for a track day!”
I test drove one and said no thanks and got the GTI which was quicker with significantly less HP and modded easier
But did anyone realistically think of something like the lightning as a “track” truck versus just a really fun street truck?
They aren’t the fastest, but they are actually pretty good reliable track cars such that you still see bunch of them on track today (more than C4s in fact).
True.
Agreed, but that’s a $50k Civic that I would argue is actually better on the track than in daily driving.
I did 4 track days with my FRS. A few with my tC before that. Had a great time with just some sticky summer tires (which I used all summer, not just for the track day and got about 25k miles out of on the FRS, not bad for a 140 treadwear tire) and upgraded brake pads (which lasted about 30k miles, pretty similar to…
I had the ST in the photos, same color and everything. BUT.. i added a new radiator, new intercooler, new shocks, bigger brakes, better tires, intakes, ecu tuning... all the goodies.. and it still got killed at track day.. just the slowest car there.
Yeah, any hot-hatch is meant to be a fun daily driver at it’s core. That’s why they generally (and by that I mean “used to”) release more hard core track-pack versions to add in the options that would make it a better track car and undoubtable ruin it for most people as a daily.
To be fair, the prowler was never advertised as a performance car, it was really always just a crazy looking car just for the wow factor. Just looking at the specs and anyone would have had a clear indication that this car was not meant for track usage.
