Ah, the ketchup and mustard plates, AKA “Party Plates” if you’re from Ohio.

See comment above about the birthplace of aviation being here - the Wright brothers built the plane and the aviation industry got its start in Ohio, even though their first flight was in Kitty Hawk.

It worked, but it’s definitely one of our blander designs.

Why not both directions? I don’t mean that snarkily - Indy has improved significantly and is attracting talent that can’t (for many different reasons) keep a seat in F1, why not let F1 pull from the more talented end of Indy? It’s a win for both series, IMHO.

If Tesla bought GM, would their quality improve or deteriorate more than it already has? /s

All of those are licensed, and really have little input into how the manufacturers implement them (some more than others, but the auto makers have final say).

We have HP laptops that have Bang & Olufsen audio. They sound like shit.

Was thinking the same thing - those two are less a partnership and more of corporate-cousins/rebadging at this point.

It’s a wagon, and wagons are still popular in Europe.

In about five to ten more years as kids grow into adults and no longer want to be associated with soccer mom mobiles (CUVs/SUVs), I can see the wagon format being more popular in the US than it is today.

But at the end of the day, EVs require far fewer components compared to an ICE and transmission. I forget when it was posted here, but a BMW exec commented that an EV motor takes about 24 different components compared to several thousand in an ICE plus transmission.

When the change overs finally start, many

The FIA had to concede a lot to keep auto manufacturers involved in the sport, and that’s why we have the current set of regulations, and why they are changing again. If all the manufacturers pull out, F1 probably will not survive, at least as we know it now.

They will prompt you to apply the update, but with releases like this, it’s much faster to go to settings, general, and software update to get the update much faster than waiting for the device to alert you it is available.

I honestly don’t see the CX-5 lasting more than a couple more model years once the CX-50 comes out. They killed off the CX-3 not long after the CX-30 went on sale, at least in the US.

Mazda has always used a _X designation for what they deem experimental models, although in the case of their SUVs, I’m guessing they carried it over to represent the availability of all wheel drive. The C is for cross-over.

Their other nomenclature was RX for rotary experimental and MX for Mazda Experimental. Outside

The reason the FIA implemented the max number of engines was to reduce costs, so adding another power unit allowance would most likely not fit within the budget cap for most teams.

That said, it seems to me that power unit changes due to accidents not of your own doing in races should not be penalized as heavily as

Why did I immediately think that looks like something the Blue Man Group would perform on?

It’ll get confusing when RB laps the Alfas (for a few seconds, anyway). /s

They are also going to larger wheels with less sidewall, so that certainly isn’t helping the ride quality at all. But they are paid professionals. I’d certainly love to have their salary to drive cars fast :)

That’s the same advice I gave him, but it’s the power shift automatic. The car before the Scion I also warned him about (99 VW Passat V6. Transmission failed in that one).

My son is just like this - had his Scion Xb totaled out (tree fell on it during a storm). I advised him to avoid a 2014 Focus Titanium hatchback and provided him with multiple articles regarding the power shift transmission. What did he go buy? That fucking Focus. *head desk*

I buy a TV to be a multi-source entertainment device. I have a 4k HDR TV.

Cable and Satellite TV still do not do 4k, and 4k has been out for years. Same for HDTV broadcasts (local).

Now add to it that the top resolution you can get on BluRay is still 4k (for now), and the only two possibilities for 8k are streaming and

When the general consumer sees that the ID.4 is an electric crossover, why would they compare it to a CRV or RAV-4? Most people are going to compare electric to electric, and those three, whether VW wants to believe it or not, are competitors. All three are electric SUVs, in the same general price range.
