Eh, it’s pretty reasonable to suspect that your average person on a random restaurant patio doesn’t somehow belong to the relatively small percentage of the American public that has bothered to read up on Lance Armstrong’s story beyond “cancer survivor who won a bunch of races by cheating at which he was caught

Yes, but my point was that CBS likely recovers that 6% in value, meanwhile Movepass is teetering on the brink.

I mean, to you and me it’s obvious, but the hanging implication from the article is that the Giants fanbase may not feel the same way if he were in black and orange.

This laundry represents my city, which I feel a way about for reasons!

I suppose, but the point is that most people’s exposure to him and his antics is ... pretty narrow. People keep posting links to articles on The Atlantic or talking about a speech he gave, as if those aren’t things that, like, 2% of the population is aware of.

The only thing I’m indifferent to are hysterics that, in the grand scheme of things, don’t really matter.

Yeah, sorry I don’t really care what you think so bye.

This is to be expected, especially from a fan base as diverse as the Giants’.

Eh, maybe, but I’m not sure how widely read most people are on the details of Lance Armstrong beyond

No, I know he bullied and attacked them. It’s not particularly shocking, but are you seriously going to sit here and say that patio of people was yelling and screaming at him because he was mean?

Why should he be in jail?

I don’t think I’m too picky. I just wanted a planet with grass and trees that isn’t constantly beset by acid raid, or whatever, and has a nice sunset. A lake would be nice too, but I’m not gonna cry if there isn’t one.

DotA probably. A few matches a night late at night after the kids are in bed. Our 2nd is now at the age where she’s starting to sleep through the night, so I’ve been able to start adding matches of DotA back into my gaming diet without fear of having to go AFK for several minutes on end.

Eh, I don’t know that this is true.  A dash of meat in tortilla and a fountain drink for $2 is probably something they can make a profit on and if people come in then you can probably upsell them chips and guac or maybe even a full meal when they see all the toppings that they can’t cram on to a little tortilla.

On the one hand, I differ from many folks in that I don’t mind seeing PED users punished by the sport. On the other hand, I don’t care enough about their PED use to be mad at them personally.

I’m glad this is being continued. The universe has some good bones, and while there were things about the first season that I didn’t like, I overall enjoyed it and I really enjoyed that they explored the concept of immortality being bad because the banality of everyday life would make monsters of all of us.

I keep waiting for one of these mogul types to do what I would do if I were in their shoes.

I mean honestly in the terms of financial news it is more notable. Whatever happens to Moonves, CBS’s stock will likely recover once the truth is out and CBS does whatever it’s going to do in order to mitigate the damage.

Because even though he’s a wacko, Tom Cruise is also a consummate professional who’s always been a cut above other actors who are primarily action stars because he knows what he’s good at and goes for it totally balls out.

Most parties that don’t put a candidate of their own up actually do endorse a candidate, and if that candidate is demonstrably better than the alternative, they’ll make more of an active effort to encourage their membership to participate in the election process, and that sort of encouragement does have an effect.
