If Steph Curry shields LeBron off just a little bit on the way to the rim...

Notice how they never bring this up in CBA negoiations?

Amen to that.

Waitresses and Uber drivers are paid to provide a service. Why should they receive tips for doing no more than providing the agreed-upon service?

Because it's an expectation, not a choice?

Nope. The options are partial closure for 3 years (20% service level is the goal, I believe), or total closure for 18 months, in order to get shit ready for another storm.

If I click on the video, am I going to see a debilitating injury with broken bones or the like, or just something that looks awkward and painful?

Since when did having the option to tip mean you HAD to tip? It’s called gratuity for a reason. The tipping culture is NOT out of control.

I’m not sure how you can read my comment as attacking employees, but you’re right that I have never had to work for tips. The poorly compensated jobs I had as a young adult were not deemed tip-worthy, because we have chosen to draw some incredibly arbitrary lines:

Yes - that’s precisely why it’s “out of control”. I’m not lamenting that people are just so damn generous that they can’t stop giving away their money. Like you, I don’t like that employers see tipping as a way to pay their employees less and maintain the illusion of lower prices while forcing customers to pay extra

Not having to tip is one of the best things about using Uber. Glad to see the company recognizes that.

Enough, already. Just let the man smoke some weed.

I spent most of my life in upstate SC and have never heard of this.

When I think about having a superpower, part of the calculus is always, “How am I going to get rich from this?”

Would you rather Coach K keep his advice somewhat quiet, or also call out the kid in his press conference? Seems like he’s trying to keep it under the radar instead of blasting kids publicly.

It’s basically whichever chair has been sat in the most, right?

wtf are you talking about with Deadspin? a “Good Blog Frequented By Manly Men Who Have Disdain For Nerds, Geeks, Women, Liberal Hipsters, The Gays And SJWs”? It’s basically a nerdy-ass lawyer circle-jerk of funny comments and sports and tangentially sports-related stories. It definitely skews liberal, too.

Same thing, though for a little longer. I pop a new blade in for every shave and it makes quite a difference.

How about Billie-Jo Skeleton as a 16?!

It’s not that you “can’t talk about it”, it’s just that people may call you an asshole. Deal with it.
