Tried the Bojangles on Saturday. Pretty good - might even be number two - but I’d still put it behind Popeye’s.

Yeah, if I were 111, I’d probably take advantage of that to blatantly screw with people’s heads too.

Still gonna vote Iceland. I don’t care if that’s not possible. I’ll find a way.

Even in the Liberal oases, you’ll generally have a significant portion of hard-core conservatives.

Well sure. That’s just science.

No, pointing out that the right wing isn’t actually against cancel culture in and of itself, only when it’s used against them. I realize that they don’t actually care about hypocrisy, but most people do.

The Blacklist dates back to the late 40s.

Cancel culture has always been more of a right-wing thing anyway. Cancel culture started with the Hollywood Blacklist, and continued destroying the careers of anyone LGBT+, the Dixie Chicks, Colin Kaepernick, and a bunch of other people. They’re only mad about it now because it’s being used against them.

You’re not my supervisor.

Yup. Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. I think it ranged from a few feet above sea level to a few feet below.

I had one of those in high school; it was the first car we looked at on a hot August day in 1990 and I don’t think my father felt like doing a full search. It got 7 miles to the gallon and I lived in one of the flattest cities on Earth. It was also dangerously fast for a 15-year-old kid to be able to drive. I both

“All I know is my gut says maybe.”

I got Maurice La Marche to sign a couple of years after that, but no progress since.

The Jerry Jones era started out with Jimmy Johnson, who put together a team so good that Barry Switzer was able to win a Super Bowl with them. But since then, it’s been one of the worst-run franchises in the NFL, and has gone 20+ years without being remotely in contention for anything. The only reason that they’re not

Barry Sanders and Walter Payton were my two.

Speed definitely, cocaine probably, but those are rich people drugs and so they don’t count as drugs.

Long time Saints fan. Last game of the 1983 season, both teams were 8-7, winner would get the playoff spot. It would have been the Saints’ first playoff berth. Rams win a close game, then go on to do nothing in the playoffs, starting a long, long trend of them screwing things up for the Saints but never really doing

I hate the Rams so much (and have, since 1983) that I had to root for the Patriots in the Super Bowl, which made me hate the Rams even more. I’m glad that it was a terrible game; it’s what everyone involved deserved.

I’ll have forgotten this team exists again by the time tomorrow’s WYTS is posted.

I’ve hated the Cowboys as long as I’ve been watching football (so close to 40 years, or thereabouts), and so I’ve really enjoyed their last 20 years, and I suspect I’ll enjoy their next 20 just as much. That team is never going to be an actual contender again as long as that family runs them.
