Something just occurred to me.

Just like Ray Palmer was originally supposed to be Ted Kord, I kind of suspect that Ralph Dibny was a substitute for Eel O’Brian, going by his characterization.

There’s an argument to be made that single incident years ago, never to be repeated, isn’t necessarily worth condemning someone for, if they recognize it as a mistake, don’t repeat the behavior, and make restitution to the victim. Granted, that in no way describes Spacey, who sounds more like a serial sexual predator.
