Over the past 2-3 years, it seems the number of companies buying used cars has multiplied. I’m not saying it’s not easier for the owner of the car to sell, but I do wonder if they’re bidding up the prices.

How much are VC-funded used car companies (Carvana, etc.) driving up the price of used cars by buying up inventory?
It would solve a whole lot of problems if we got a solid third of the people off the roads and into public transportation.
Kind of sucks but it might be the right thing to do.
Low income workers normally buy new cars?
You don’t get the John Deere/Right to Repair reference?
Having the comedy be adjacent to the auto industry with casual nods to things makes more sense; the amount of paper discussion in “The Office” was pretty low and low stakes.
Ooooooo.
Now THAT’d be pretty. :)
Only if it’s Indian corn.
Could be a good tail light though?
Mebbe?
Like, the ear of corn part lights up amber, and the rest is red?
Unfortunately for the farmer, the John Deere technician is going to have to come out to train the computer to recognize the new replacement windshield.
Pedant powers, activate!
Corn hole.
Sorry, I didn’t mean to disagree with you or anything, just sharing my experience flying earlier this year. When snacks were passed out, me and my neighbors would tuck bites into our masks like they were horse feed bags XD
Are you accusing newname of being a token...white? WTF are you even talking about?
I can’t believe we’re two years in and STILL have to explain the difference between spreading disease and catching disease.
I flew in July and some of the gate attendants prior to boarding were vocal about being tired of people giving them shit. They’re doing their job, don’t make it harder, just follow the rules, because if you pushed, they’d call airport security who would be more than happy to push back.
I recently flew on a couple of full flights, when the flight attendants came around with snacks and drinks we all took our masks off together. Thankfully Covid takes a break then, phew. Not to mention the 1000s of people passing thru the terminal, not bothering to mask up.
Wearing my n95 indoors and being boosted says “i respect your fellow humanity and we are just trying to do our best”
Inspired by Mercedes Streeter I had it brought in. Bought it in August and picked it up in port on Monday - with only fumes in the tank.
Makes sense, given they didn’t have a normal trunk or even a trunk hatch. What else you gonna put there?
