Counterpoint: why is it “right” for a human to prioritize saving a life of a non-human at, or above, that of a fellow human?

He doesn’t sound like a bad person to me. He sounds like a caring pet owner with his priorities in order.
I don’t know about their Gators, but there is no way I would buy from John Deere if I were in the market for a tractor. Which is a shame, because they used to be a great brand.
I’ll see your dancing dwarf, and raise you a dancing dwarf and a one-armed bandit
That was my initial reaction as well. Not because I had any reason to suspect the diver of wrongdoing, but because there is a LOT of data floating around there about us, in the hands of unregulated data brokers. I could imagine a scenario where someone with Musk’s connections could get dirt on someone, dirt that would…
On the contrary, the concern that I, and others, have raised, was that a control system based on engine thrust would be incapacitated by engine failure. Your response was:
Here is another set of data points, from FAA.gov:
Nah, I was just curious if you had any data to back up your point. Not interested in disproving random spurious assertions, thanks.
Examples? I’m sure it will be much easier to find cases where mechanical controls brought an aircraft down safely, despite complete engine and power loss.
It would be nearly impossible to maintain even a straight glide without any control inputs. Could be useful for non-human flight though... Cruise missiles, perhaps?
That’s why I refuse to pronounce it like “toupee”. To me, it will always rhyme with “coop”.
It will be interesting to see how they handle multiple timelines vs multiple dimensions... or really, what the difference even is in their uni/multiverse. But, knowing how intricately they've planned out the past decade's worth of films, I'm sure they have some interesting developments up their sleeves...
And flamers have nothing more productive to do than flame. But, hey, that’s cool - we all have to play to our strengths.
And giving not a shit.
Chest sizes are a step in the right direction, but they’re not the RIGHT way to properly fit a good jacket. Sleeve and torso length, and shoulder width, matter for a a proper fit. As an extra-long, I can assure you that chest size is not much better than S, M, L, XL.
Oh, I can recognize a failed attempt at humor just fine. But I see that nobody has bothered to save you from your inability to recognize sarcasm. Ironic, innit?
Fortunately, those animals I’d mentioned are usually not a threat to humans. I would have no concern at all going out for a night walk.
Yeah, my sarcasm indicator hasn't been working lately. Damn BMWs.
A lifetime of double posting
Oh, that was a joke? I must be a complete moron! Thanks for the tip, Grahmo.
