I would guess that in profile view the characters would have noses, it's just that straight on they don't appear to have any. Maybe this is part of the chibi art style? I don't know as I'm not super familiar with it.

Haha. Very true.

I'm excited for this but wary of the hype. I agree that it will need more than just exploring to make it a long term success. But I do like the idea that it's not based solely around combat (even though there is some of it, obviously). Seems like it could be really great or turn out to be the next Spore - awesome in

I've been playing the alpha since yesterday and so far I'm not terribly impressed. Everyone keeps saying the game is "gorgeous", but the textures don't really look any better than the end of last gen to me (I know we're really only at the beginning of the current gen, so this is somewhat to be expected, but still,

The chibi designs have grown on me since the game was first announced. Persona Q is probably the game I'm looking forward to the most this year.

Very true. Actually, I could see them doing that. Lets hope not.

I would wager you're correct. Sony hasn't seemed very dickbagish lately, so let's hope they don't suddenly drop a bag of dicks on Playstation TV and not include Vita compatibility.

Awesome! Thanks for the informative reply. Honestly, I'm planning on getting it so I can play Persona 4 Golden on the big screen.

Okay, so correct me if I am wrong - but is this the same thing as PS Vita TV? Kirk's liveblog mentioned streaming PS4 games and playing PS1 games, but no mention of Vita games. If it's Vita TV, then I'm in, else, no need.

Argh! At first I thought this was Vita TV! We need Vita TV in the US!

Huh. Well that's cool man. To each their own. I didn't like him because "rich white kid becomes super tribal warrior" didn't really click with me. But I suppose it's slightly different than the average bro-warrior in most FPSes, even if the result is the same.

Maybe.

God, let's hope not. Talk about a bland protagonist. The only thing worse might be Aiden Pierce.

Please tell me that's not Jason Brody in that selfie.

I'm hesitant to embrace this game post Watch Dogs - and I'm a long time Assassins Creed fan. I think it's the first AC game that I won't be pre-ordering.

Maybe you guys know better since you cover this stuff professionally, but I sincerely doubt that anyone is actually playing live at these events.

So we're getting the Jean Luc Picard of Assassin's Creed protagonists? A Frenchman played by an Englishman? At least Roger Craig Smith tried to do an Italian accent for Ezio.

I've heard the name "13 Assassins" but haven't seen the movie. I'll check it out. I'm about 3/4ths of the way through the book Shogun right now and it highlights aspects of feudal Japan that would work great in an Assassins Creed game. Plus - Ubisoft could even have their sailing gameplay if they really wanted.

I think that's a fair assessment. Honestly, I don't need a new AC every year. I can go every two or three years between games. I'd rather have a game of excellent quality with decent after-launch support than this every-year-must-cash-in stuff we get from Ubisoft and other publishers.

These days when I hear "more varied gameplay" all I can think is that they're adding more guns in a game that needs no more guns.
