Given Ubisoft's recent history, I'm not sure polish is something we can look forward to with this game. It's likely being assembled by a wide variety of studios, just like other major Ubi games, and it will probably show. Certain aspects of the game will shine, others will be cringe inducing.

Yup. I feel like Ubisoft is kinda tapped out of ideas for Assassins Creed. And I hate the excuse for not using feudal Japan as a setting because they don't want Assassins to be equated with Ninjas. They're already fucking ninjas. In the immortal words of Dr. Steve Brule, "Who cares?"

I'm a long time Assassin's Creed fan, but after the disappointment that was Watch Dogs, I just can't get excited for this.

So... it's Thursday. No official review of Watch Dogs from Kotaku?

I bought a Wii U the week of launch. I bought it mostly because I remembered having a great time playing the Wii back when it originally came out and I wanted a console that I could play with my wife (more specifically, a console that might have two player games that might interest my wife). I bought a couple games

* How's PS4 ownership been so far?

I'm male and I play female characters just as often as I play male characters in games. If it's an MMO, I'll generally have some characters of each gender. If it's an RPG that I really like (Fallout: New Vegas, for example) I might play through a second time as the opposite gender that I used first. I don't really

My Shepard was Jack Shepard. And it was only because I was really into the show 24 at the time of the first Mass Effect. Stupid reason, I know.

Is it just me or is this game cover art absolutely terrible? It just feels really campy. It lacks menace.

So Clone Wars isn't considered canon even though it was produced by George Lucas and Lucasfilm?

Just downloaded SMT III Nocturne... haven't started it yet, but I plan to this weekend.

Well maybe Vita TV will eventually make its way to the US and you can play P4G on that. It's about half the cost (in Japan, at least) of a regular Vita.

There's been a lot of discussion about this over on the SMT subreddit for the last day or so. There's a large amount of people who seem pissed off about this announcement. Personally, I'm excited for it. Any new Persona content, especially Persona 4, is okay in my book. However, I do hope that they're creating an entir

They kind of imply New Game + in the trailer, since Yu is seen leaving Inaba with his TV world glasses and then getting off the train and meeting Marie, mirroring the opening of P4G.

This makes me think of Rage. That's not a good thing.

I take it you don't like the Vita, then? Fine. Don't buy one. The rest of us who have and are satisfied with our purchases will go on playing on our Vitas and you can continue to play on your platform of choice.

True, the Uncharted games are very linear, but I think that's part of what makes them work so well. It keeps the pacing and the story tight. They're like playing an Indiana Jones movie.

I agree. You are spot on with your observation. Tomb Raider just didn't feel good to play after a while - and I don't mean control wise. It felt like terror and sadness were the only things that got to define Lara's character development. Perhaps humor wouldn't have worked in a game so dark, I don't know. But in my

I don't think I was saying that playing games on a Mac matched the current state of Windows games. All I was pointing out is that there are many, many more games that can be played in OS X (using Wine or natively - who cares?) than there were 10 years ago. I still have my Bootcamped Windows partition for PC games that

Good for you.
