Who didn't have this game? It was awesome!

Um, it's not OK for a coach to yell at 5 year olds, and certainly not to the point of scaring them shitless. Kids that age don't understand being in the doghouse. Sports at that age should be about learning the rules and having fun, not getting fucking yelled at.

Wonder what their inspiration was...

I can literally remember goals I scored when I was 12 (25+ years ago) because I scored so few.

That wall he appears to be 5-10 feet from has to be close to 440' given the depth of the alleys and dead center. Say 435 at least. So it's probably 425-430' where he catches it.

Edmonton plays on turf as well.

Standing O first time up. Guaranteed.

Or actually refer to his jersey number. The numbers of the other 4 guys in the picture are clearly evident so by process of elimination...

Bruce literally points the guy out before the snap. And makes a beeline for him as soon as the ball is hiked. I honestly don't know how much I blame the blocking WR. Maybe if they made ANY attempt to sell the play as anything other than a WR screen, he'd have had a hope of making that block.

I agree offsetting penalties are called way too often.

Yeah I guess. Preseason is just around the corner so we'll see pretty soon.

OK, but you agree it's possible for it to be both. I do agree that coincidental minors are called way too often.

Can it be done in that length of time (2 minutes)? The scrape they do before shootouts (2 passes each?) takes longer than that.

I agree on getting rid of the 2 minute minor but the punishment has to be more severe than icing though, no? If you're under siege in your own zone, at least when you fire the puck down the ice, you give the other team an opportunity to pick it off and for play to continue (which should be the goal). Firing the puck

Until embellishment is regularly called without the opponent's offsetting infraction to even up the penalties, the problem won't be fixed.

Yeah, it literally makes no sense for a player to be called for - say, a trip - when the player they're supposed to have tripped goes in the box for diving.

Except I bet games that don't end in regulation are going to be longer on average due to the newly required full surface dry scrape before OT.

Is that actually true? I pegged #4 as a hit but is there seriously 4 more?

Entirely too much screen space devoted to the game at hand. Couldn't they have had a scroll at the top telling me which games were coming up next? And maybe talking heads over on the right? I mean, the last thing I intend to do when I turn to a game is follow the live action.

Fuck this guy. Has a whole detailed story and everything, accepts the hero kudos, makes everyone praising him look like a chump. It's one thing to cover up your involvement in a B&E with something about tripping over a fence you were trying to clear on a dare but this is some next level assholery.
