Actually, there was a very similar car out there that you could buy and drive all day long - the SEAT 133. Based on the 850, but with a body style similar to the much smaller 126.

I don’t know about Hawaii, but here in Australia, I can pick these up for a thousand bucks all day long. Mainly automatic ones, but still. 5k? CP!

Perfect. You definitely meant Perfect.

It’s a Jaaag - not a Rolls Royce.

I want that!

Hey, “umlaut” is German, not Latin. Pfft.

I don’t play golf. I still want it, though.

Aww, you beat me to it!

The Tatra MTX V8?

The Crown Comfort. Or the Century. Slide into the back seat and forget the world.

I’ve travelled in the back of these many times in Asia. They should really be called it the “OMFG It’s so Comfortable”. Because they really are. You slink into the back seat and forget about the troubles of the world.

I voted NP. There’s no logical explanation. But I did.

I’m guessing the car also has up to three cylinders, up the threee wheels, and up to two seats?

The front grille was from the Opel Olympia - a short lived, more luxurious Kadett version.

At least that would look a bit different from the rest. As it stands, this car is just a “me too” design.

But - the bodies of the old Rollers weren’t from the factory - they were ALL custom built, and that’s why some of them looked so awesome.

It’s worth noting that in the 1960s, BMW also was in deep financial trouble... Ok, actually it was nore like in the late 50s - a cash injection rom the Quandt Brothers in 1960 fixed that.

The sad thing is that this design was turned into the Hyundai Pony...

Yet another awesome article. Thanks, comrade!

I tried 6 of the 10. And he is still training to be an aircraft engineer and has no interest in cars. Some kids just don’t get it.
