Mitsubishi started to finally figure it out after their car was 5 years old, but then they ran out of funding to ever capitalize on it. Had they taken the concept of what they started on the lancer and brought a re-designed AWD lancer hatch with the 2.5L, they’d be killing it right now.

and now you know how I ended up with a lancer. I can list a bunch wrong with my car but the second it snows I’m the happiest kid on the road.

OMG AWD Turbo version of this would be AMAZING!!!!

I suppose but there’s solutions. I talk about my lancer way too frequently, which sorry because it’s a pretty meh car, but if you look past it’s quirks, Mitsubishi got one thing extremely right on it and it’s the AWD system. I have a switch, so FWD only for when it’s nice, and I get 32mpg, or AWD auto once the snow

I suppose but I’d think it depends on if it’s only the top trim. If you can get it on Touring MSRP starts at 24k so now you’re just talking about 26k starting with a $2k AWD option. Not saying it won’t be on any other option but top, but it potentially could, so if you get a pretty upped mid model with awd and at

I don’t get why everyone acts like adding AWD has to jack the price up . Mitsubishi found a way to get AWD in most of their cars (Lancer, Outlander Sport, and Outlander) and it didn’t raise the price beyond $2k. IMO they should be licensing out that tech too until they get their brand in order.

I’m convinced this website just mad because they think AWD is killing cars without thinking that they should just be putting AWD in cars.

Shiftable auto would serve 90% of the population. People like me want something they can just drive without thinking Monday-Friday while in traffic but something that has some fun to it on the weekend or when the roads open. Shiftable auto is always the right solution, but regardless this looks like what i’ll be

If it’s AWD and a Turbo this will be on my list for sure! Checklist for my next car is Reliable, fun to drive, and AWD. Mazda’s always been 2 of the 3 for me.

Good. Shiftable auto would be the most ideal for me anyway. All the fun of gears when the roads clear, and all the ease of being a drone when I’m in traffic Monday-Friday.

This. I think half my arguments with people over why I’m buying a “Japanese” car is pointing out that they’re technically more american than their meximobile.

yeah but the issue is so will a civic and its the same price, feels 10x better, and gets better mpg.

You sound like a douchebag!

The only decent one I’ve dealt with is the local Mitsubishi dealership. Although my dealings are all with the service department and not sales and that might be the reasoning. That or no one gives an eff about this half dead brand so they’re just not overly ballzy because they’re about to go bellyup. one of the two.

2 reasons. 1 they’re just dead reliable and cheap to maintain. 2 cash for clunkers totally effed the used market on trucks to where new trucks are $40k+ and used trucks that were cheap beaters all got crushed so anything used is just default worth more out of rarity. Cash for clunkers didn’t affect cars as much which

This. Mother had a 2004 Corolla, and my friend has a 2008. My mom finally traded in for the new Corolla so i’ve now driven all 3 models. yeah the new one is trash. They added a leather dash and a fancy screen but the rest of it feels like it’s made out of cardboard. All this trash tech is added into cars which jacks

Have you seen the price of 2002 Tundra’s and Tacomas. 2010 you could get a 90k mile Tundra for $10k with 4wd. Trade in on a 2002 Tacoma with like 170k miles is now $10k. You’re not touching those for less than $12k these days.

You think being close 2 to places to fuel your alcoholism is beneficial too? Bakeries make you fat, I can make coffee for a week for what you pay for 1 cup, I prefer to cook 9/10, and I can walk to the grocery store too. No one cares about your crappy options.

How HOA’s aren’t illegal is beyond me? They’re just an extortion organization.
