As someone who’s looked into 944s i just can’t see spending this much when a 944 is like $2000 all day long. Sure it’s not a “real” porsche but it’s a fun 80s car and at least there’s been enough interest as of late to start building some easy support on them.

Flagged!

fair enough. i’m currently driving a POS but it’s a paid off POS and I just paid off my final student loan. Next step, a real car!

my comment was a half joke that everyone is way too angry about, meanwhile everyone seems to ignore the concept of it being a meh car, which makes no sense to me. If it’s meh like the other people are commenting saying it is, it shouldn’t cost 50k, or 60k, or 70k.

Finally someone who didn’t just get butthurt over me listing the price. Also amazed that people are up my arse about calling out a 70k price but are quick to say the car is meh. if the car is meh why are people pissed I called out the price? Implying it’s meh implies it’s worth meh price.

At nearly $70,000 in the trim I tested, the S4 is not anyone’s starter car. It’s not even your typical car, for a number of reasons.

Yeah but to be fair a 2018 audi s4 is 354 horsepower and 0-60 in 4.4 whereas a kia stinger which sure as hell doesn’t cost 70k is 365 horsepower and 0-60 in a slow 4.7.

Maybe she meant the pricetag. $70k for a sedan in 2018. GTFOH with that bs pricing!

But that’s why I like the Lancer. Didn’t Stef already have an article about how people say the Lancer’s dash is boring but she says its impeccably what a car needs and nothing extra?

nobody cares!

Butthurt much?

Yeah I was going to look up a mustang but realized I’m not a 22 year old trying to impress people in a high school parking lot.

Disagree with your gripe on cheapest option. Anco 31 are $6 off sale, $3 on sale and are actually really decent given the price. I’ve never understood why people spend $20 per blade on wipers. I swap mine out every fall, twice if they start to get crappy. At $12 total, even if i do it twice a year I spent less than

Because there’s a ton of rollover of people who go the last escape was good, i’ll just buy another. And that has nothing to do with the ford focus.

Well the Pats traded away every QB they have and Brady’s 40. If he wins again this year then I see no reason he wouldn’t walk away. This whole teams about to become the bills within 2 seasons anyway. No way Brady makes it to 42.

yes there’s a difference but they’ve gotten wagons these days to look like a hatchback rather than a wagon which I think is the big reason they can do both now. I would have NEVER considered a wagon until a saw a v60 the other day. Until you get to the back you can’t even tell and at the back it’s actually styled

I gave my car the ol warm up per your recommendation today. It’s -9 out. yes NEGATIVE 9. You know what it did. NOTHING!!!!. The oil temp hadn’t even adjusted itself in the slightest.

Really wanted to say NP because I was happy there was an affordable car again. Seriously no one wants a project for over $12,000 jalopnik get it together! But alas this is an auto and i’m not gonna go scrounging for a new transmission on something from the 80s. Also it’s brown!

that’s because people don’t know how to adjust their seats. I’ll admit I didn’t adjust diddly the first 2 years of my car and that was a huge mistake. The day i raised the height on it was the day I realized having a car was actually pretty comfy still.

Bad example because the Escape existed as a boxy SUV first. Also the focus hatchback is relatively new. I buy cars off cycle of the trend, so my plan is within 2 years when there’s probably still a sales slump because everyone just signed 72 month loans last year. The focus hatchback didn’t exist then, so the focus
