Yes, they are very, very popular. However, the level of fame they have reached is not tied to their actual music. They both make very catchy pop songs, just like Madonna did back in the day, but I don’t think either one is going to have a lasting musical influence compared to their celebrity.

Gotta love Courtney. The level of stardom that Beyonce and Swift have reached has always confused me. I like them and their music but they have an outsized impact on the culture to me.

You are right of course but George Bailey is a very real and complicated man in the film. He is not just another good guy because you get the sense that he inherited a life he never wanted and feels lost throughout the film. A classical “good guy” would not be portrayed in that manner. The film could have stretched

In what universe is Timmy more talented than Michael J. Fox? Based on what exactly?

It was a good idea. I don’t understand fully the backlash against it. Simply the idea of an alternative history where the South won seemed to be the issue.

well I am ashamed of you for that post! Shame! SHAME!!!

That was a very well-written and thoughtful statement of opinion. I disagree with your assessment of the film (which I believe is a masterpiece) but I applaud the way you expressed it.

Is reading comprehension ok? You completely missed the point he was making in his post.

Jim Brown. Ed O’Neil. John Amos. Merlin Olson. Alex Karras. Carl Weathers...

Counterpoint, it’s awesome.

Those people are wrong and you should never trust them again.

That would not be  a moderate demographic.

I don’t think the government should be in the business of telling people what to do with their bodies at all but to answer your question the alternative would be what most voters seem to actually support. Liberal access to abortion with reasonable restrictions on when and why it takes place which was the standard in

The point of the article seems to be that Kylie really does not like Joe Biden. That seems to be a running theme for her. Meanwhile, we face an existential threat in Donald Trump where our democracy may be dependent on people like her putting on their big girl pants and going out to vote for the only legitimate

Yup.

He wasn’t all that fat. Especially, compared to today’s standards.

It’s ok to be a proud American just as it is ok for anyone else to be proud of their country. The fact that our nation has a tainted past needs to be placed in the context of world history. Arguably, every nation out there has its own sins to atone for. We should be clear eyed about our past but that doesn’t mean we

My father, a vietnam vet, still hates her with a passion. Really it was a stupid thing for her to do (I don’t buy that she didn’t realize how it would look) but she was really young and the country was in the throws of a political upheaval at the time.
