Has there ever been a point where arguing with the ref overturned a call? I don’t really think so, but I’ll resign myself to the fact that maybe it plants a seed in a refs head to look out for things. Which, ok, fine.

Yes, this is precisely the wrong approach. Making the refs full time, train year round, great idea. Adding more for the sake of having more is not a solution. We don’t need to increase the number of penalties called, we need to simplify the rulebook, and get better trained refs to handle the calls.

I own a 2006 BMW 330xi. Last week I drove up to Boston and back to DC (second time in the last few months). Putting roughly 1,000 miles on the car each time. It now has 149,000+. I haven’t had any maintenance performed on it.
