I caught this on IFC a long time ago. Underrated movie. I like the relationship between Fresh and SLJ. A more commercial film would try to get them back in the same household.

Yeah, I would have hated Hannah in my MFA program. While I'm all for calling out bad writing (rather than the pleasant line edits that often occur), she's living under a delusion where writing is just turning yourself up to 11, rather than meticulous imaginative work.

I graduated the year of the Vitamin C song and one of the local top 40 stations made a special mix where during the instrumental parts, there would be local idiots crying about how much they'll miss their friends. It was addictive to hear how stupid my fellow 18 year olds sounded.

I laughed very hard at, "If we lived anywhere else but New York, he would be dead by now because he'd kill himself from being so small and so gay."

I think it's pretty obvious that we're not supposed to take their origin story at 100%. If they dealt with sexism in the workplace, then of course it will make Wolf of Wall Street look almost progressive by comparison.

SIX DRINK AMY IS!!!!! …so lonely…

I don't have a billion systems and a billion hours to play video games these days, but Bravely Default was worth my time. Towards the end I was ready for it to be finally over, but that didn't diminish the overall game too much. Each town is like a digital pop-up book. So beautiful!

Dick Chaney? Bruce Cowher? Was this written via Google Translate?

I don't know why of all the billions of channels, that no one plays this one anymore. Garfield Christmas > whatever bullshit Toy Story holiday special that they crapped out this year.

Please define how Taylor Swift is "relatable?" Relatable to who? And even if she is "relatable," who cares? You should be critically engaging with the music.

I cannot stop laughing. I grew up watching Seagal's flicks on TV with my dad. My dad would get all hyped when it would look like Steve was about to run. Because he does run like a girl. An uncoordinated one at that.

As a kid who looked forward to the December issue of GamePro every year, I always made sure to watch the Christmas editions of X-Play. I was even friends with Morgan Webb back when TextAmerica existed.

You're right, she totally trades in authenticity. I bet if she were given 0 dollars and 0 cents to promote Coca-Cola products, she would still spend her free time doing it.

The Grouch Diner scene gets quoted in my family to this day.

This always brings a tear to my eyes. As a very small child, I had big dreams of traveling the world. I did that. I have a professional job that I love now. But I can never return to being a small child.

I loved this episode. My mother has spent her career working for the state at homes for the mentally handicapped. Nathan's mother is the total truth. Families qualify for the state to take care of their handicapped children, and then never visit them. Maybe Christmas every few years, but that's it.

For me, it would have to be David Lynch. I'll pretty much watch anything he films.

These teachers are straight up hoes, dawg!

"Trashley" is such an awesome nickname, that I'm surprised I've never heard it before, being a 90s white kid.

This game looks like a ton of fun. Based on the gameplay, this reminds me a lot of the awesome NEO GEO action titles from the 90s.
