Why would Dany take on Cersei's debt? She has overwhelming force, she has powerful allies, she should have a vast network of spies, and she has dragons. What incentive is there for her to take on vast amounts of debt for money she doesn't need?

Littlefinger is just surprised that it's taken this long for one of the dumb Starks to finally figure out his schemes.

Except the Iron Bank trading with slavers wasn't treated like a secret that Braavos wouldn't know about. It was just casually mentioned. Even if they did secretly back slavers, it makes no sense for Cersei to know about it and no sense for the banker to admit it. In fact, Cersei would have a huge advantage over the

The prankster foolishly thought that Eric Trump's suspicions would be allayed by his desire for any human contact but little did the prankster know that Eric is suspicious of any human contact precisely because no one ever talks to him.

The bank backing Stannis is relevant because they lost all the money they loaned Stannis and Cersei has a reason to renege on her debt because the bank backed her enemy. The bank cannot afford to keep being other people because they've already lost tons of money. There's no reason for Dany to accept a loan from them

She got out of it far more than she paid in, especially considering how she was a heavy smoker, which greatly increased her medical expenses.

You're missing the point. The Iron Bank doesn't have infinite money. They already screwed up badly by backing Stannis. They won't be getting any of that money back. Cersei actually has a strong negotiating position since she's well within her right to renege on her debt because the Iron Bank backed her enemy.

The Iron Bank is in Braavos, a city founded by freed slaves who hate slavery with a passion.

You're missing the point. The Iron Bank is in a much weaker position because they backed Stannis since there's no way for them to get the money they lent Stannis back.

Except for the fact that Braavos was founded by freed slaves and are extremely anti-slavery. Braavos letting the Iron Bank fund slavery is like Israel letting their banks fund Neo-Nazis.

Except for the fact that Braavos was founded by freed slaves and it's been established that they don't trade with slavers and they've actually fought wars against Pentos to force them to stop slavery.

Except Braavos doesn't trade with slavers.

But that's like saying because a weird animal like the platypus exists, big foot and the Loch Ness monster must also be real.

Dragons have only been extinct for about 150 years.

Which is why Cersei should have actually been in a much stronger position. The bank already bet against her once and lost. They're not getting any of the money they lent to Stannis back. And Cersei has a perfectly legitimate reason to renege on her debt since the bank supported her enemies.

I guess the show's writers have completely forgotten that Braavos is a free city that hates slavery.

Funny how Dany starts her negotiation with a huge lie how the Targaryen ruled peacefully for centuries on Westeros.

It also reinforces a major theme in the movie. Logan dismisses Laura's comic books as being made up BS and constantly tries to get away from the idea of the heroic world saving Wolverine. But in the end, Logan is a superhero one last time to save his daughter and shows her that those comics aren't all made up.

It's also a world where magic is fueled by stuff like belief and noble lines. So you'd think that'd be a factor in the Faceless Men's powers.

Ellaria's plot makes no sense at all. She wants to honor Oberyn and protect House Martell… by killing Oberyn's relatives and ending the Martell line. Why did any of the Dornish Houses stand for that shit?
