Hey Stephen! The cap is actually on purchased, not earned Picrites. So you earn Picrites in the game, but they don’t go towards the 5000 Picrite cap necessary to unlock the free stuff :)

I mentioned it briefly in a DualShockers article, but it seems like the brooding love-child of Ori and the Blind Forest and Tim Burton. I am so down with that.
