She’s awesome.
She’s awesome.
And nothing of value was lost.
Not enough stars to give...
I hope he didn’t compound his misery by watching it too.
Turn it over.
Is Billie Eilish headlining Coachella?
I’m not a huge Audrey fan, yet even I bristle at the thought of someone attempting this. And yikes Rooney is a really bad match. But then all of these biopics are insane to me - trying to capture the essence of these icons is totally missing the point. They were unique and inimitable.
The only Audrey Hepburn was Audrey. To me nobody can play her without making it a caricature or just a decent impersonation. What a woman, worth remembering as much for humanitarian efforts as style and acting. I’m sorry she left us too soon.
Shit’s weird, man. I have a lot more to say but I shouldn’t.
@AA Dowd - if you and a bunch of current/former AVClub writers end up spinning off to your own new website, I would happily follow.
Solidarity with AV Club writers!
What a shitty thing to do, but I expect nothing less given the company.
Welp, there it goes: “The AV Club” finally and completely joins Deadspin in being an entirely zombie property.
I think we are supposed to understand the shooting of Tuskens from the train as an attempt to force them to entirely leave the area. The train leader says something like, “We thought you were uncivilized raiders and we were trying to protect our route,” the implication being they were not in fact confident the Tuskens…
Clever production design can only sustain a drab story for a finite amount of time, but so far that’s at least two episodes.
I’m 100% convinced that female Tuscan is Fennec. Her body language and badass moves on the train are totally Ming Na Wen.
Would you settle for Crystal Bernard?
I like the show but the framing of the narrative is dragging it down for me. They would have been better off putting all of the present day stuff they've shown so far in the first episode then have his time with the Tuskans as one big extended flashback before going back to the present. That way his motivations in the…
After this episode I have a feeling Fett’s ultimate goal is to help the Tuskens take back their place as accepted inhabitants of the planet instead of just faceless, mindless raiders the people who came from off-world need to be afraid of.
