I mean, the same two guys who crafted Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade created Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Sometimes older guys lose the creative thread of their past work.

I think the problem here is that you’re arguing about expectations no one had.

We paid to experience the story that we love. Not to have it rewritten. Especially not by people who made all the dull spin offs.

just wanna point out, if someone took black characters and made them white, it would be frowned upon. are the original characters even white though? its a Japanese game. wouldn’t that mean they are Asian? im all for more diverse casts, but aside from this being purely an artistic “what if”, i think any already…

Isn’t the resolution of the game possible because she joined the lifestream? Bringing her back to life sort of screws that up. Not to mention continuity with other FF7 stories.

Isn’t the whole point of her dying basically so she can join the life stream and help save the planet....meaning if she lives then the entire rest of the game is ruined? The story is already convoluted enough after she dies they don’t need to make it any worse and piss off 7 fanboys.
