Holy shit, have they ever been photographed in the same room together?

I’m convinced no team ever actually signs Robin Lopez. He just sort of metastasizes onto your roster when your win expectancy is less than 35 games.

Oh yeah, that A-Rod was just horrible as a Yankee. 54 WAR and 2 MVPs, he’s just like Kei Igawa.

I’ll always like Jose Contreras for pitching a complete game in the 2005 ALCS. Not that it helps Yankees fans any but he was the most dominate pitcher in the AL for a good year and half stretch.

It’s not that hard to explain. He was an overhyped Yankees prospect who never had the durability to be a starting pitcher, and like 100% of non-Mariano Rivera RPs, had an up-and-down career. Sort of like he was perpetually bouncing on a trampoline, but occasionally crashed off the edge. (Too soon?)

For anyone who isn’t a Yankees fan, it’s tough to explain the Joba phenomenon when he first came up. It was the first bright light after years of horrible players brought in - Pavano, Kevin Brown, Jose Contreras, Kei Igawa, Giambi, Kyle Farnsworth, Nick Johnson (second signing), A-Rod, and the list could go on and on.

“your thoughts and your prayers are insufficient.”

Fucking right.

I feel as though we all did.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are an independent source of football unaffiliated with any professional sports.

This really is my favorite running piece at Deadspin. Let’s talk about the Jags, but really, let’s talk about our lives and where we find ourselves.

“Jaguars Junction” is the only good thing on the Internet anymore.

Friendly Reminder: Unless you can disassemble and reassemble an M4 blindfolded while discussing milspec vs commercial buffer tubes while carefully ignoring Ronald Reagan’s gun-grabbing cowardliness, you cannot have an opinion on guns.

“none of the all-seeing crime-prevention devices happened to flag a man who brought 10 automatic weapons with him to the Strip.”

The surveillance state was never meant to save us. It was meant to keep the 1% safe from us.

Promised this week, and delivered.

He gets a charge out of it.

What you cannot tell from that picture however, is that it is not actually 25,000 Texans, but rather 2500 Texans that take up the same amount of space. Everything really is bigger in Texas.

Hopefully boltman hangs himself with an extension cord.
