fits your narrative”

Congratulations, they discovered the concept of copyright...but without the centuries of infrastructure to support and enforce them.

wait, so you’re telling me EVERYONE will get to enjoy my previously exclusive procedurally generated monkey?!

I have a finance degree, but it’s nice that you read The Big Short

Were you not there when the Gamestop situation happened?

If that didn’t prove that the stock market is people dealing with percieved worth of a company, than I don’t know what does.

You saying that undercuts your credibility.

Sure it is, unless you subscribe to the philosophy that perception is reality. The stock market is based entirely around perception. If it were regulated well, there would be safeguards to ensure that the perception was in some way tied to realities about the entities involved.

The more you learn about the stock market, the more it’s clear that that shit is entirely fiction

This stream, intentional shitpost or otherwise, drew explicit attention to this reality—and boy is it a bad look for people who lose their shit over delays.

There’s another aspect to the situation though where the old ‘spark’ and beloved games were built atop a pile of sexism and crunch conditions. (Also probably true across the industry.) Everyone gets excited when ex-Blizzard devs announce a new game studio, but I don’t just want them to go back to the ‘spark’ that made

“Things aren’t going to get better, they’re going to get great!” - immediately grabs coat and sprints from office.

Also, pretty bad year to bring your PC up to modern specs, more so if you are not in US...

“How is this newsworthy? So somebody’s gay, big whoop”

If you have a number of collective scratches on the lenses, I can see how very slightly smoothing down the lens can be a positive thing for vision. Unfortunately, you’re altering the corrective value of the glasses slightly, but again, if the scratches are enough that they’re impairing vision anyway, then this might

you can’t “remove” scratches. it’s impossible. this is just a placebo

I mean, it seems pretty clear that management was fucking up if they weren’t accounting for folks being off on Fridays when it was technically official policy for half the company to be out on those days.

You’re using the old textbook definition of “CRT.” Nowadays, thanks to heavy lobbying by right-wing cranks, “CRT” has a second definition as “teaching history regarding race relations.”

“...I don’t have to make white kids feel bad for being white.”

Not everyone was benefitting equally, so... get rid of it for everyone? What about do more to make sure those that still weren’t able to benefit got a chance to do so?
