At this point I think it’s fair to say that “conservative values” are just whatever they think will give them a boost at any given time.

People in power, regardless of who they hate, will always eventually open their doors to anything, if they think it will give them a longer life. Trans people are the current

I mean, they’ve already been paid, so it’s not exactly a 1:1 transaction with those specific developers that we’re talking about here.

Idk I feel like it’s not really a comparable situation. We’re talking about taking an entire product and replacing/recreating/adapting it with an entirely new product.

Whereas the dubs vs subs thing, is mostly a matter of communication, which is so subjective to the many different ways in which people communicate.

If your target audience are families and students who’s understanding of the risk and reward of the transactions are “you won’t be able to have a good future without a degree” and assure them that the loan amount is both routine and manageable.... that is a trick.

We could argue “people should do their research first”

Yeaaah, it’s missing some standard bells and whistles that would of made it a complete package. Glad the devs were able to make something fun with what little budget they were given. But Nickelodeon needs to shell out some real money if they want to compete in the landscape.

Not sure how it is on console, but looking at the steam charts, it’s definitely in that “not dead, but it’s mostly made up of dedicated players now” limbo, that a lot of older fighting games exist in.

Yeaaah, I think if we want to have better discussions about nuance in entertainment, people need to stop being embarrassed for liking things.. But more importantly, general consumers knew very little about the Blizzard controversy, so it would not make sense to feel bad about enjoying their catalogue in the past.

Retro

I think you just have a really hyperbolic concept of “shitty” lol

I agree it’s very different from the other games in the series, but as far as gameplay goes, it still decent to good, gameplay for an action game of that era. If anything, the worst offense the game did was be cringy narrative wise..... but the other

I didn’t know what about the series, which is pretty hilarious. But I think the “edgy” in visual and narrative design, doesn’t do it any favors in the parody department.

Kind of like how Gundam’s whole theme of war is bad” gets lost by fans who overlook those themes because it has cool robots. It’s easy to be like

Something being made up, doesn’t mean it can’t have real world impact. The implication is merely that the subject in question, isn’t grounded by any sort of implicit variables other than perception.

I feel like the system requirements probably play a role in this too. Got a potato of a PC? You can run Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 with no issues.

1. I feel like in 2021, we should be past “why should I care” comments on websites. Not all content is made for everyone, so when I see something I don’t care about... I don’t engage with the content.

Sounds good to me. I think part of what made Overwatch so casual friendly, is that it also got rid of the classic k/d scoreboard, other fps games use. I think seeing numbers and stats is cool, but not in an environment where people would turn that shit into a reason to harass people over a video game.

I’m arguing that “working as normal with normal pay” was an already exploitative situation though. With the temporary plan, being the more structurally sound option.

If the normal was “working more for no extra pay” by default, sure that could still count as a level of force, regardless if it was normalized or not.

Me thinks you don’t watch a lot of horror movies then. I’d confidently say 8/10 horror movies are gore fests, with stories tacked onto them.

Sounds like an edgy guy from 2011, thats for sure. But once again, this just feels like doing a bunch of performative changes, rather than putting work in tangibly changing the environment for the people that work there and interact with the company/game.

It just seems like a cop out. I’m sure it was easy to do, but a r

I don’t think the George Romero comparison is one that gets the point across. But I do agree with the guy. Interest in Cannibal Corpse and the hundreds of other bands with a similar sound/appeal, would fall under the same interests as someone who likes movies in the horror genre. Some of it is deep, some of it is

Yeah this is one of those “addressing the effect, but not the cause” situations. Though, I’m not sure what they could do since the cause is much bigger than LoL itself.

I watch it. There is a combination of good jokes, edgy jokes AND shitty jokes that are pretty terrible IN CONTEXT of the comedy special.

So either you didn’t watch it, or you don’t understand the actual topics people are upset about.
