Gotta add this one to the growing “problems that won’t get fixed cause cops are using it to make quota” pile.

Like most of these phrases though, I don’t think it really matters what you use. The point of language is communication and if using the “wrong” phrase still gets the point across, you can’t get any more practical than that.

I don’t think it’s the polish doing the leg work here, though. It feels like the selling point is that it’s a different environment/setting.

Like if you say “2D top down interactive” and “3d 3rd person shooter” we’re already talking about two different experiences, that often attract different people. Yeah Fortnite is

That’s a weird logic. That’s clearly not a union problem, but a problem with the environment itself that encourages corruption.

It would be like taking the concept of food poisoning and saying “restaurants are good in theory but in practice, they make people sick.” as if food poisoning IS what the business was about.

I think part of the problem though, is that it falls in line with Incels or MAGA people: This sucks, these people are the worst, but we also gotta acknowledge that there is an underlying environmental reason behind it.

And if we don’t actually find a solution to that environmental cause(likely isolation/trauma/etc), I

I think that speaks to the nuance of language in general. People treat speaking a language as some kind of 1:1 experience where everyone understands the exact intentions of someone else.

But this is a prime example(among many) of how easy it is to misinterpret meaning even in our own language.

Their response aside, I can assure you that no Joe Schmoe, is going to even hear about this, let alone put enough brainpower into remembering the company itself or the response they gave.

Not a knock to general consumers or anything. It’s just that general consumers *generally* have more important things to care about,

I have no doubt there are plenty of people who enjoy the hardcore experiences that come with Battle Royale games, but I also highly doubt they aren’t a minority as far as the market is concerned. Not a knock against that experience, just that I don’t think they are the actual target audience.

Especially in a market

I feel like we are gonna see more stories like this as our wonderful economy continues to be wonderful and invincible.  Desperate times, desperate measures and all that.

I don’t expect to see that change anytime soon, haha.

“they feel like they were treated like childs.

I think that’s the real issue here. People are taking something impersonal, as a personal slight against their value as players. Like unless the devs out right say “we want to treat our players like children” in some kind of Nintendo like fashion, gamers need to be a

Immersion. Bots have negative connotations, even if their inclusion is a positive from a design/environment perspective. Retention is an important part of running a “live service” type game, and devs would rather the games they put hours of their time into making, not die immediately.

I think the issue though, is

I feel like most of the people these ads are targeted at, also know their mobile game aren’t going to look like these ads too tho.

This is basically the modern day version of 80s-90s video game marketing right? Like pairing those old simplistic pixelated as hell games, with box art that made them look like epic adventures, akin to movie posters.

It’s true, he could have 100% changed and there’s definitely room to say the higher-ups made a quick decision that probably has to do more with saving face than it does making a safe environment. If anything, I think statements from his co-workers would be the most important information in all of this. They’d have a

On one hand, I think a lot of people do change and learn from their mistakes, especially ones made when they were younger.... but this dude was 27 when he said those things, lol.

He honestly just lucked out that standards were so low at the time(and only appear to be better on the surface now). But maybe this is a

As for the designs, I’m not a fan of the armored look. The MMPR Rangers look fine-ish, but the Aquitian Rangers look awful.

Ah, the American dream!

I feel like his existence as a rich celebrity muddies that water somewhat tho. Having a kid is definitely a two person ordeal, but we can’t take the concept of power dynamics out of this either.

I don’t actually care, cause we have no say in this entire situation, but I do question the idea of Nick Cannon having a
