I’m the biggest AC fan girl, but this game made me question all of my fan girl life choices up to that point. There were a lot of little things that bothered me. The fact that every time I went into another area on a horse, my horse would change color. The children in my face without any real way to gently move them

Oh yeah, Kotaku is playing my jams!

I’ll see your bloody Ray Purchase and raise you the sounds of Ray Purchase and Toast doing voice work for a German adult homoerotic movie “Smack... smooch... slurp... lolll lolll lolll lolll.... oh oooooooooooh.”

Toast of London is the best thing on Netflix. Do yourself a favor.

That boyfriend sketch compilation from Snuff Box is so fucking good. I’ve watched it like a 100 times.

Late to the party I know, but I just finished Night In The Woods a few months ago, and it was absolutely fantastic. As someone whos a little broken, it was so easy to empathize with Mae, and her trying to find her place in the world. And her friends were also well written and a blast to hang out with.

Counterpoint:

Yep.  Always at least two ways to do a thing: like an asshole, or not.

If a coach can’t teach or motivate his players without screaming at them, he has failed as a coach. Izzo’s a fine coach. His player would want to win the game without being screamed at. They would hear whatever he was trying to inform them about in terms of boxing out or rotating on defense. The screaming is just

Every conservative news outlet screaming about the evil of unions for the past two decades has also contributed.

We have less unions than we used to because managers tend to respect their employees more or else the number of unions would have increased.

You have no idea why USPS is losing money, do you?

The rise of Uninos in Europe happened right as the work conditions for most people were disintegrating. There are many historical novels from the time that describe absolutely horrendous lives, children working and getting mauled in factories and mines, and (unbelievably) even worse things. I don’t believe there is

I work for the USPS. It’s because of our union that I have job security and a sufficient living wage. I gladly pay my union dues and every day I wake up grateful for the NALC. Unions work, so please unionize people!

Honestly, the whole notion of unions needs to be applied on a *national* scale (and a global one, if I’m being honest). The balance of power between employers and employees is WILDLY skewed, and that is at the root or near the core of SO many problems.

I played through Golf Story within a few days. That said, I love classic golf games and RPGs, and am attracted to exploration by, say, wandering around and seeing what I can hit a ball into.

The Switch really is a great console for indies. Also, as someone who loves racing games, but find the number of them lacking on the Switch I gotta give a shout-out to Horizon Chase Turbo. If you love 16-bit era racing games (Top Gear was always one of my favs) definitely check it out. I bought it on a whim and have

Two of the games on that list are easily the third and fourth most played games on my Switch (behind Disgaea 5 and BotW, and the first one is is such a ridiculously grindy timesink it kind of takes the spot by default.) Hollow Knight is a $15 game that’s better than most $60 games I’ve played in the last few years,

I've been playing A Robot Named Fight for a while now and I have to say it's one of my favorite games to play during my commute. Basically super Metroid but randomly generated levels for each playthrough and you can get through it fairly quickly.

I was never much of an indie gamer, but I love playing indie games on my Switch. I’ve always had at least two of the three “major” consoles, but was usually too focused on the AAA games.
