If he had been active back then he could have had the game delayed to get it finished.
I’m kind of glad. I find them a distraction, they kind of feel somewhere between a pop-up ad and a “collect the items” side quest in a game where it doesn’t belong (and I’m kind of tired of those anyways).
If it’s appropriate for a given game I don’t mind too much, but I don’t like generalized systems that make games…
Dad sounds like kind of a dick.
Exceptional soundtrack, surprising depth, gameplay difficulty that scales well with progression, immersive touches like the helmet based HUD and occasional reflections of Samus’ face, the successful transition of a 2-D game with platforming elements to 3-D (always a challenge).
Deep and involved Exploration + Depth of gameplay + depth and complexity and flow of combat + first person Metroidvania + a “Dark Souls”-y minimalist approach to storytelling before that kind of thing was popular = successful game.
Exploration, tight controls and the fact the game captures the creepy and lonely atmosphere of the 2d games.
I believe the UI was meant to feel cramped to give you a dose of what Samus must be feeling like in her suit!
Are you joking? There are tons of “structured narrative, compelling side characters, and fast-paced, fun 3rd person gameplay” games being released constantly. And who wants another DA 2? That game was so bad.
Something like this actually happened with EVE. Devs released a trailer for a new patch that was all epic with “real” player dialog commanding fleets & stuff.
Looks amazing. The faux playing with your buddies dialogue in these videos is always so embarrassing though.
I thinks the headline as worded (even with the “Update” part) is very misleading and unfair to KoDee and readers. It makes the article sound more controversial and not impartial than it should be.
Nah, we see childish behavior in professional sport all the time. This is a poor regurgitated argument. With Overwatch talking to big industry investors (from pro traditional sports) to invest into their league, e-sports is being taking more seriously every passing month.
If I can name my golfer Shooter McGavin, they’ve got a day one customer.
Reminds me of the excellent GBC/GBA versions of Mario Golf and Mario Tennis. They were fantastic sports games crossed with RPG from Camelot. Sadly Camelot’s handheld versions of these now just follow the same formula of the console ones...and are kinda meh of late.
When this was first announced, I had no idea why they put a 2017 release window on it. It was so obvious from Day 1 that it wasn’t going to come out this year. I don’t understand why so many developers do this.
I would rather a million children with disabilities get games that they can play than see another mini-NES or Amiibo come off the assembly line for whiny man-babies and scalpers.
No one got offended by this. Nintendo just decided to remove it when they learned what it meant. Nintendo can do what ever the fuck they want with their games, get over it. If I suddenly decided I was no longer going to say “fuck” anymore, than I’d stop saying “Fuck”. That’d be my choice. It’s not censorship, if it’s…
