@anirudh15891: CrossfireX 5850 will be better than a GTX 480, but less then a 5970 at stock speeds. All ATI cards have great efficiency and amazing over-clocking. @anirudh15891: A 5970 is 2 5870 gpus on a single pcb. One of the gpus is clocked to 5850 standards, due to motherboard power regulations. You can easily over clock the 5850 to pusg it past the 5870, although the 5870 also overclocks. Crossfire'd 5850s is a fantastic combo.

@Project_J187: That's not why they're honorable mention... They are hot and inefficent when compared to ATI cards. The reason the 5870 is honorable is because it doesn't provide a huge boost when compared to the 5850. The reason the 5970 is honorable mention is because it is HARD to find.

The 5970 is NOT a chipset. The 5970 is basically two 5870 gpus on a single pcb. The second 5870 gpu is clocked to 5850 specs.
